I know what you're thinking, and you're probably right. Another place for Tramp's random, detached thoughts. Not totally, BUT maybe.

I was also thinking it'd be convenient to have a spot to record some of the awesome but declarations that I see here every day in the Matrix.

I'm thinking it'd be like a disjointed version of the Post of the Day thread, and I could even keep things beief by paraphrasing a good quote like, "blah, blah, BUT..."

Yep, I think that'd work good. The blah, blah stuff never adds meaning anyway, right?

One of the simplest lessons in life is to learn that the part of a statement that follows the but is the only part that really matters...to the one talking.

Take no heed to the hour spent paving the way with flowers, justification, or setting the mood. What follows the but is what's meant to be heard above all else.

The part before the but is generally make-believe, or even an outright lie; but it doesn't have to be.

Just understand that it doesn't matter for the conversation you're in. Not even a little.

It may be an annoying distraction for some, and I wouldn't want to be that guy - BUT - I wanted a spot where I could quote a few of the but statements I tend to hear.
