I was just diagnosed with prostate cancer and haven't had an erection in about a year and a half I would like to talk to anyone has gone through this because I have many questions. I'm at the point where I still want sex but I can not perform and willing to try anthing.

the last post here was over 3 months ago but I thought I can add some degree of help. My problem resulted from prostate cancer and removal. Two things give you an erection, good blood flow and complex nerves that transmit from the horny brain to tell the blood to start flowing in the penis to make him hard. Prostatectomies are more successful than they used to be but often damage those nerves. So pills help some but not enough. My choices were injections or an implant and I chose injections. My urologist suggested bimix first before trying trimix and it has worked great for me for 16 years. There's little or no pain . I can regulate how long my erections last. I have great sex regularly. I know guys who have had implants and love them but I haven't grasped the idea of surgery to have a prosthetic penis. Anyway, that's my story and I'm glad to help anyone here to the extent possible.

cock ring is a game changer, definitely try one!

Tri mix is supposed to be the answer for many. Check with your Urologist about it.

I tried the microshock therapy. Bought and used a penis pump. jacked off more often, did everything they told. It did not work for me the results I did have i think were all in my head. The company I used did not take blood and inject back into my cock. The office they used is closed and they no longer advertise. the only thing I have not tried is the injections. Viagra on an empty stomach works for me. Something I find strange is that I am experienceing spontneous erections in the mornings. has anyone else experinced this

I do not understand how watching porn can hurt you.
Unless, maybe, you think what you are watching is real.

Thank you 64, I have used a penis pump myself. Don't care for it either. Not going to stop masturbating though, but thank you for the info.

Gains Wave...

Basically, they use a device to send microshocks through your penis and groin. Sort of feels like a a rubber band snapped on you (not that bad really). They do this for several minutes. Depending on the severity of your problem, you have 6 to 12 treatments. At the last treatment, they withdraw some of your blood, spin it, then inject it back into your penis. The needle is very small and they numb you up.

After these treatments, they enoucrage you to use a penis pump at least once a day to help the treatments last longer.

The whole idea is to get better blood flow.

I tried it. It worked. I didn't like using the penis pump.

For me, stopping watching porn and stopping masturbating helped much more.

I'll be getting a CPAP machine to help my sleep apnea. I suspect that will help with sexual performance as well.

I inject myself with a small needle under the skin in my thighs and stomach for a skin disease.
I had the sane reaction you had when the doc told me start using it.
Granted, it is not the same as putting it in your dick, but still ,I have to watch myself pushing a needle into me. After 5 years, 4 injections a year, I still freak every time.
So, you are normal

Maybe I will try it

Hank, I have been using Trimix for about 2 years now. The injection does not hurt a bit. Granted, sometimes if I go thru a small vein on the way in, it will bleed a teensy bit after I do the injection and withdraw the needle. Usually, one wipe with an alcohol swab and it stops. Still doesn't hurt though. I know the thought of poking a needle into your dick is like OMG, because I had the same thoughts. I am a prostate cancer survivor and after surgery, could not get hard enough to use it. Kinda like shooting pool with a rope....lol. To be able to once again have sex with my beautiful wife is more than worth it. I'd encourage you to talk to your Urologist about it.

Michael, the doc offered to do me so I could feel it and the affect would have on me. Just have to get passed the thought of it.

It’s an insulin needle. Very small! If you don’t like the sight of needles I definitely recommend using the auto inject. It’s a little device you can buy on Amazon where are you load the needle into this little mechanism hold it to your penis and press the button and it injects it for you and then all you have to do is press down on the plunger. It takes away from the anxiety of doing it yourself. Probably less painful as well and always hits the mark.

AZ- play with nurses, doctors and paramedics. I'm sure they would administer it for you .
Some women might even get off on sticking needles into your dick.
Also, do small needles bother you as well? Because this sounds like a small needle. Smaller than what they draw blood with. Maybe your doctor has a similar size needle is his office to show you .

Knot- that sounds like the same size needle that I am using and administered the same way.
Most pain I ever had it felt like a pinch. No big deal. Most of the time there is no pain.
Sticking yourself with a needle does take some getting used to.
If I ever get put on trimix I assume I would have to get over the sight of sticking needles into my penis.

Yes the Doc want's to try TriMix. I have a phobia about needles and so nervous about doing it...It's not the pain of a shot it's the needle. No med's work for me I've tried them all.

It’s administered with an insulin needle, 30G 1/2” at a 90° angle. It’s not into the skin but into the chamber of the penis. It really does not hurt at all because it goes into the base where there isn’t much feeling. The first time is the scariest because you don’t know what to expect but after that it’s easy and well worth it!

Is Trimix administered with a subcutaneous injection?
Meaning, a small, short needle under the skin?
I self administer a subcutaneous injection for a skin condition.
Intentionally stabbing myself with a needle takes some getting used to. I alternate between upper thigh and stomach. Stomach hurts like hell, for some reason. Thighs don't. If you are familiar with needles, it is about the size of a butterfly needle.
I'm just wondering how much this hurts.

I’ll look into that thank you. Nothing else will work other than shots.
