Professional Videographer

Hi Carson25, Interesting to find this post. I am a producer/videographer/editor for a successful video production company in central Texas. We've produced national commercials, music videos, corporate videos, events, etc.
Anyway, the other day I was thinking about how do I get in to the world of producing personal adult films. How do you advertise for that? How do you find serious people looking for this kind of memory for themselves. I knew I could turn to my lifestyle friends.

Anyway, this is something I have the capability of doing and would love to speak to you or anyone that also has an interest. Even just to talk numbers for something like that in the east coast. I don't know many people who would film this in NYC.
I travel and test for COVID frequently because of my real job.

Thank you, HollyBlue - your reply was both helpful and thoughtful. We appreciate the additional suggestions you made around privacy (using an NDA, encrypted drive, etc). We would mostly likely look for someone to handle editing, so will be mindful of privacy here too.

We want to have lots of fun with the experience, so we'll spend what it takes to get the film done right. Hopefully we find someone who's done this service for other couples dozens of times!

You can actually start by looking for local listings for vid/ media people in your area. Most photographers do good video as well. Just ask if they do intimate shoots and see what they do for confidentiality if they say "yes." Your price point will vary quite a bit depending on what you're wanting. If you want footage edited together like a pro porn video then you're looking at paying for a few hours of editing time. If you just want 2-4 camera angles and the footage for personal use then it won't be as high. For us that is the easiest route because we can simple pass on the memory cards. You will want to ask them to save their footage to an encrypted drive before you leave the shoot especially if they are meeting you somewhere. Anything can happen to the camera or memory card in their possession and it doesn't take long to move the footage to an encrypted drive for editing later.

You will find several in your area that will do intimate shoots. Run from the guys on Craigslist. Once you locate several possibilities find someone that you are 100% comfortable with. Even if there is a little doubt heading in it's better to give up your deposit than have a bad experience. Good luck.

We're in the NYC area and are we're looking to hire an experienced and professional videographer to do a film shoot for (actually, of) us.

We've found places in FL that do boudoir photos and some film, but given we're not traveling at the moment, we want to find a local pro and spend some of our vacation savings. We're looking for a reputable, professional company, not just friends or volunteers, that makes production grade videos. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on how to find such a company?
