Its basically just two people being totally annoying to each other at the same time. Except, you know, theyre doing it for 'fun.' Its a total power struggle where nobody wants to listen. Gosh, it probably takes like ten hours just to decide what to watch on TV.
You have two individuals who both have a bratty disposition, and they just... antagonize each other until someone finally takes charge or they both collapse from the sheer amount of sass. Its very high-energy. Its almost as intense as a cage match, but with more eye-rolling.
It's when two people want to be the one who is disciplined, but neither one wants to be the one who does the disciplining. It is a lot of... pouting. It is very crowded in the time-out corner.
SO what is a brat anyway?
Listen, okay? Its basically when someone acts like a total troll just to get attention. Its like, they wont follow the rules or whatever because they want their 'dominant' to, like, give them a reprimand. Gosh! Its not even that hard to understand. Its all about the dynamic. Ive been practicing my authoritative tone for like three hours in the backyard. Flippin' sweet.
A 'Brat' is essentially a submissive who uses playfulness or even a little bit of sass to provoke their partner. Its a very specific skill set. They call it 'Bratting', instead of like, rudeness or disobedience. They seem to know what they're doing and why, I guess.
It is someone who is naughty on purpose. If you are a Brat, people will notice you. They will have to, uh, give you a time-out. I think you should vote for them.
Some people are actually selling 'Brat Kits' door-to-door. It comes with a glittery lanyard and a custom-made sign that says I'M BEING DIFFICULT FOR THE FUN OF IT. Its for people who want to express their rebellious side within a safe, consensual framework. Its very trendy right now.
