What is relationship anarchy?
Relationship anarchy is a philosophy that rejects rules-based hierarchies between relationships, treating each connection on its own terms rather than slotting it into a pre-defined category. Relationship anarchists typically refuse "primary/secondary" labels, do not assume that romantic relationships outrank platonic ones, and emphasize personal autonomy over social scripts. Distinct from polyamory in approach: many polyamorous people maintain hierarchies; relationship anarchists reject the framing.
