At reputable on-premise lifestyle clubs and most off-premise venues, yes — the rule is genuinely no phones across the entire venue, including at the bar, on the dance floor, and in the bathroom. The reason is structural: a single photo can damage someone's career, family, or marriage even if everyone in the photo consented, and one violation in a venue erodes trust for every subsequent guest. Most clubs ban members for life on the first photo violation. Bring a watch instead of a phone; leave the phone in the car or at coat-check.
