Also called: Off-Premise

A lifestyle club that hosts socials, parties, and dancing but does not allow sexual play on site. Couples meet at the club and continue elsewhere — typically a hotel or a private home.

Off-premise clubs occupy a deliberately narrower role in the lifestyle than their on-premise counterparts. They look much like a regular nightclub or upscale lounge: bar, dance floor, DJ, sometimes a dress code, and often a private guest list or membership requirement. What they do not have is any space where sexual activity is allowed; encounters that begin at the club continue at a hotel, a private home, or another venue afterwards (Wikipedia).

The off-premise model exists for several reasons. In many U.S. jurisdictions, alcohol licensing rules prohibit on-site sexual activity, so a venue that wants a full liquor license operates off-premise by default. Some markets simply do not have demand or zoning for an on-premise club. And many couples actively prefer the format: they like meeting people in a social, non-pressured environment, going home, and continuing the night on their own terms with whoever they connected with. Off-premise meet-and-greets are also a common entry point for newer couples who want to be in the room with the lifestyle community before they are ready for a play space.

Etiquette at off-premise venues is closer to a private nightclub than a sex club. Approaches are conversational, no one is undressed, and the hard rules around touching, photography, and consent are enforced by the host the same way an on-premise club enforces them in playrooms. The actual play happens elsewhere, but the vetting, flirting, and negotiation that lead to it almost always start on the dance floor.
