Removing a cert

I had 2 couples on 2 different occassions who cleared all their certs and that automatically removed their 2 certs from my profile.
Help Desk tells me that "shouldn't" happen, but it did.

We seem to have the option of removing certifications we've given.

Go to tools-certifications-certifications I've given. Click remove.

Yes that used to be an option but it is no longer you can delete a cert received but can no longer delete a cert that you have given. Reason behind this change: unknown

Let’s say you had a date with a couple that was cool, you cert them then it turns out later they turn out to be real drama and you don’t want your good name to be tarnished by their drama. How can you remove a cert they already approved on their page. I’m pretty sure you used to be able to do that.
