Profile Issues with Terms of Service

Funny thing was I noticed a typo in the profile and I went it to change it. The next day, the profile was taken offline. We've always listed his SLS profile on our couple profile because he can get on daily while I can't - it was always at the beginning of our profile so that people who actually read it would know to contact him to get a quicker response. I had been called rude too many times by people who hadn't read the actual profile because I didn't answer quick enough, but he would have answered. Now we're going to look rude again because things will go unanswered for a few days.

Thanks everyone for your comments..

Appreciate the challenges, nuances and quick response.

It's a shame that a few people trying to game the system ruin it for those of us who are honest.

Referencing another profile name in your profle (or even your own profile name) is not allowed. This has not been allowed for a long time now.

As for why:

1) In the past, people have referenced other profiles that did not want to be referenced. Recently, a single male was listing another single female profile in his profile as being his new, other half. Turns out, the female did not want to have anything to do with this person. He was basically a stalker.

2) Many people were using couple profiles to try to market a single male profile to people who have single males blocked.

Haven't read the TOS but this seems silly. You should be allowed to reference another SLS profile as long as it's clearly the same people in both.

Good point VA, I never heard that was a violation before. As long as you aren’t referencing a different site, what is the issue with lasting others know you have a single profile on SLS?

Did you modify the profile first in any way? We had an issue with something in ours that was there forever but it only got caught when we did an update and they reviewed the entire profile.

Is it really not OK to refer to your other SLS profile?

More than likely someone reported your profile. The admins don’t have time to reward every profile looks jig for violations so if it bothers you that others still have that reference to n theirs, report them.

Our profile was taken offline a couple of weeks ago because it referenced the male half's separate single SLS profile. We were told that this reference violated the site's Terms of Service (even though the reference had been there all along), and that the profile wouldn't be put back online until the reference was removed. We did it, but in the past 2 weeks, I've encountered at least 6 other profiles that refer to a separate SLS profile. Do the moderators discriminate based upon the profiles they "prefer" on the site? Anyone else run into this issue?
