Nah, puppet's still around. He wants to meet sexy couples/women and bring them over to the dark side. >:)
Messages broken?
Whew.. I thought the Puppet flew away with Santa maybe swinging up with some elves.. haven't heard from him in a while, glad he is alive and well.
Hope he shows up again and SOON ! We need some FUN and laughter on SLS forums for 2023! To much serious crap..
Play on my friend!
Hey, we do wild things here.
I can't vouch for the fuckin' puppet though. That guy has a mind of his own.

C'mon dood, it's not as if you're new here....

At least try to speculate calmly, instead of wildly.

The words 'signup' and 'registration' should be allowed now. Just don't use them to scam people, please. :)

"Do people have to speculate wildly"
C'mon dood, it's not as if you're new here....
Thanks for passing the question up the line. If you're restricted from saying anything right now, I'm actually okay with that. So instead of piling on you, we can pile on management. :)
Thanks Wayne, I think that swing dot com home page has people concerned or worried that current members may be left behind. I think Sorillo is correct that without info from the site operators people look at the clues make reasonable deductions. The above being the most common we’re hearing.
"Do members really have to speculate wildly? Is that some unwritten law?"
Yes. Humans do that in the absence of facts. Actually, that might be written down somewhere...

I actually agree with you and once we get caught up on things, I will see if they can unblock these phrases. For the most part, I think those scammers have moved on.

Hey Wayne, can you tell us something about the SLS to Swing dot com transition? I'm sure that the community would like some concrete info, otherwise we're gonna have to speculate wildly.
Thanks for the clarification Wayne. Signup seems to be a bit of a stretch though. Many time people might say they saw a profile signed up for a party as a matter of conversation. That could be why alot of messages aren't going through. Although, many times there doesn't seem to be a cause. Our messages have been fine now for some time here. (Knock on wood!)

There are a few words that we blocked because at one point, we had a person or persons using the site to try to run scams and promote porn sites. We blocked some of the common phrases they used. The word "gangbang" is not blocked in private messages. The only legitimate words that might cause a real swinger an issue are the following:

The phrases "signup", "registration" or 10 or more dashes in a row will cause the message to just disappear.

There are other terms, but a real swinger would probably never ever use them. For example, "meetgay" and "69love" (without spaces) are blocked.

Ah yes, the SLS IM limbo bug. It’s fairly common and our best advice is to copy to clipboard every message BEFORE you send it this way you can paste and retry until it goes through. Now, this is sometimes caused on purpose if you use any number of blacklisted terms which are unpublished. Occasionally, Wayne will post some of the trigger words that may block a message from going through, but outside of that you kind of have to guess. We know the word gangbang & signup are no no’s per prior posts. Most people move to an off site for of communication as soon as possible because it’s simply more reliable.
Alll that said, our messages have been going through recently, but as many will report there seems to be no rhyme of reason to when it happens unless a confirmed blacklisted word was used.
I just realized that I don't know the answer to that. I'm just so used to messages not going through that I don't notice anymore, except for the part where I either just type really short messages or copy longer ones before I send.
We are sure this topic has been discussed too many times. We tried to Message someone this weekend five times. It disappeared and never showed up on our Conversation list. If they did go through, then we now look like stalkers. Are other Members having difficulty using Message?
