If the line containing "kik" was in your profile prior to the FOSTA changes then it is only now being seen by the approval process for the current change - so you need to remove the reference to kik and just mention that you do not use IM for the change to be approved.
What’s funny is that ‘we don’t use kik’ is already in our profile - first line - they don’t seem to have any problem with that being there at all. It’s only inappropriate when we try to add the IM part.
Try it without mentioning kik. That might be one of the site's seven deadly words and, no, I don't think how you mention it matters.
We’ve tried twice now to update our profile to tell others we do NOT want to receive ANY IM’s - and both times the update has been rejected for inappropriate content. This was the entire update - we do not use KIK (added “or IM”) at the opening of our profile. That was it - absolutely nothing else.
I’m sorry but whoever is approving profiles on this site is full of it if they can’t allow people the right to let others know they DON’T want to be messaged in a certain way. WE are PAYING to be here - not the other way around. If we can’t turn off a ‘feature’ that is basically a single male spam function then why not at least let us let everyone know in advance contacting us that way isn’t wanted whatsoever?
I doubt there’s a breathing human being working for the site who reads this and/or would care - but nonsense like this makes other sites look a whole lot better.
PS - The IM here is a garbage tool anyway. Spend just a little freaking $ and hire a cheap developer to integrate a decent chat client!!!
