Thanks for the reply Wayne...but these issues have been going on way too long and now affecting user experiences. We can't even get a notification we have a new message. Now when I click on someone's certs, it spins and spins. Refresh the page and usually comes up. Approving profiles and pics were a mess yesterday. Hot dates are awful. Of it isnt one thing it's another. Seriously,it might just be time to stop patching the old system, and create a whole new look and positive user experience which would entice more people to stay on as paying members.

Just a suggestion.. our guitar group with instructors live from Nashville area had an old web site for years well known in guitar circles.

They built a new improved site and had everyone from old web site migrate to new web site.. old web site no more after one year and no issues!

All the problems with messages and Hot Dates and other areas of the site are related to an underlying issue affecting the database. Our developers have been working to find the cause of that issue and fix and they continue to do so. Your right, it isn't acceptable and we are not accepting it. I work with and speak with the developers almost daily and I believe they are qualified and doing everything they can to figure out and correct the issue.

Wayne, the problem with messages is how intermittent they are. It might take 3 tries or more. When you click on "message" to actually display their profile to message. The other 2 times will take you back to your message list. Also, when you write a message, I copy it before I send it, since it might disappear when you hit the send button. I'm not a fan of having the number of messages not really equate to messages you actually have. If someone writes a longer message. It will show as 2 or more.
Btw...if you think 98% of the time is a good number, coming from a telecommunications background 5 nines is acceptable (99.999) which is every other site on the net.

If I recall they got rid of mail because they said the IM was more inline with common practice now. It’s never worked right (disappearing messages, no notifications, message clipping to name a few issues), but they are sticking with it. I believe it was also to make the site more in tune with the app as the app has no mail.

Why did we switch to messages, the mail was way better and never really had issues…switch back?
