Second, even identical twins do not share the exact same DNA. Their finger prints and retinal scans have been proven to be different at birth, in many studies.

Because degradation of DNA is usually a component of decomposition but can also that place during some pathogenic responses. Therefore, degradation is not a useful measure of death. But we were not debating the threshold for “death”. We were debating the threshold for “life”.

I'm going to come out and say that I am sort of wishy washy on abortion. I lean prolife but I also have a rather wide range of what I consider to be acceptable circumstances.
I do though believe as I stated at one point. Think that it should be decided state by state. The federal government in my opinion shouldn't be a player in this arena.

First, I didn’t say I had any belief in Jesus or any other “God”. I stated that the comparison to the death penalty and abortion are not cut and dry or “simple”, to use your words. I also stated that I rarely believe in the death penalty. I’ll further clarify that by saying I don’t believe in the “death penalty” at all. Meaning adjudication of a sentence. Administering a “death sentence” to someone trying to kill you or your family is my caveat. I agree 100% with that. Would I prefer in most cases that the person be restrained and remanded to the police? Certainly I would, but that is not always possible.
As for abortion, if the life of the mother is at risk, I’m completely in favor of abortion. Otherwise, you are killing an innocent, unborn child. Nope!
