There would be no need to "break" into our house. We never lock it. Hell we go on vacation and leave it unlocked. You want our vehicles. Just get in and turn the key. My barn that houses a whole bunch of stuff isn't really even lockable without a bit of work. All that being said might indicate that I actually don't care about my "stuff".

Actually the opposite is true. I care a lot, to the point that i would defend my property with whatever force I could muster. I'm just fortunate to live in an area that is very safe. I've never role played in my head how I would handle this or that. I don't carry a gun even though I can.

Someday my lackadaisical approach to security might bite me in the ass but I sleep just fine for now.

Now I do have loaded guns all around my house. Not because of security reasons but rather I'm to fuckin lazy to unload em and we don't have any kids running around. I doubt I'm ever more than 10 steps away from a loaded gun if the need would ever arise.

I've had a gun pointed at my head once, I wasn't able to carry legally in NJ and at that age (around 25) I'm ok with that. It's definitely not fun. Been shot at once (salt from a shotgun) when I was about 15 while riding dirt bikes thru a farm like as asshole. I deserved it

I have been in that position three times.

I did not have a weapon in any of the instances.
