"Is there anything that you believe , that nobody will ever changer your mind"
Yes, the proverbial "Your God, what ever god that is" can not exist in this universe

Also FYI "Belief is Detrimental to Rational Thought!"

I wish I could believe this story...but the author lacks some credibility

TBR , appreciate that . Morgan has a degree in psychology and a masters from UT in Neuroscience . He gave me his office number where we can call . My older brother was in Vietnam we never knew what was wrong with him .
When he came back he was changed . He went to jail several times for fighting beat my father up . He is still a mess , we hardly talk. When the GF riots were going on he called one night drunk saying he went to Vietnam so we would never see this . He can’t watch news when they show vets living on the street . He will go off he will scream there are vets of all wars doing GOOD things . Morgan and Marcus Luttrell both have PTSD and admit it . Since helping at Camp Hope we have learned a lot . I have accepted my brother will never be the same person as when he went off to war I have to accept it . My nephew was the perfect person showed nothing . He had a great job wife and two kids .

Marcus Luttrell explained what he believed in . He said when you go to Seal school they do something where they push you so hard you die …Then they bring you back , it trains you to face the end . He said he believes in god because he has felt him in his life . He believes in America , he said when you walk out that door you don’t have bullets coming at you . That is because there are many people who believe like me in America .

Sorry for the loss of your nephew.

If you are interested, I am reading a book about trauma, including PTSD, what it is like and how to treat it. "The Body Keeps the Score."

Highly recommended

The believe game is not to be a political fight . It is meant to be things that we believe in so strong we would go the route of Nathan Hale . Nathan Hale was a very weak person in history but still believed in America. Nobody is allowed to criticize another’s beliefs .

I believe Donald Trump was sent to us for a reason , he is a man with flaws but since he has come about many things about our government has been proven and eyes have been opened .

I believe the best Rock Band ever was Lynyrd Skynyrd . Died at a young age and we were cheated at what they could have did.

Great post Fun.. guess we are both "old school" including our adult kids with children now. What do we believe in that no one will change our minds on .. the list is long!

Law and Order, Police , a strong Military (non woke), USA First, fantastic teachers, fantastic nurses, dispatchers, firefighters, paramedics, good old fashioned trade people like home builders, wood builders, car mechanics, ... the list for "us" is endless but whats sad is so many things are changing and not for the better!

Guess what almost all mentioned above showed up and worked during Covid including teachers in Georgia and Florida limited time on zoom!

One only has to really look with open eyes to cities and states that do not believe in these things!

Two years ago my wife and I lost our warrior . He was a nephew who had fought in the Afghan war . We were really down and out we were the ones who encouraged him to come to Texas . And with his training he could find a job anywhere . But after he was laid to rest about a week later we got a visit . A white dually pickup truck came out our long driveway . A very big man got out and introduced himself Morgan Luttrell . He is a big advocate for vets he sat with us and explained PTSD . A neighbor who was a friend asked him to come by. ..Morgan encouraged us to help with Camp Hope a type of rehab home for vets and first responders .

We have become a donor and every year they have a dinner for donors. Today was our day . One of the lead speakers was Marcus Luttrell ( The Lone Survivor.) he told us about his experience how he dragged his wounded body over 5 miles and how he was eventually saved. Several other speakers . But one speaker that really touched me was an ex police officer from St Louis . The told the story of Nathan Hale a revolutionary war hero . He was known to be a weak person not fit for battle . He was a spy. But he was found and hanged ….His last words were ( I regret I have but one life to give to my country ) …The point he gave what he had and believed in something .

The officer asked us all what do we believe , as he said it could be something like I believe in Chocolate Ice Cream ..nothing negative ……..It was Interesting . There was a lady and her husband school teachers from Dallas who quit their jobs because they believe CRT is something they would not teach . A nurse from Memorial hospital left her job because she believed being forced to get the Covid vaccine after she had worked the front lines was too much , she left her job.
Myself , I believe police officers are needed and I believe Stevie Ray Vaughan was the best there ever was .

Is there anything that you believe , that nobody will ever changer your mind ….Play the game
