Guilty

@2out

"Sorry. I wasn't clear. I've little doubt that it was a fair trial. I just think it was a fair trial with a predetermined outcome."

Aren't you prejudging Trump as being innocent before a trial? Isn't that worse than a jury that was whittled down from hundreds of people, a jury that the defense was able to get ONE on that got all of his news from right-wing media still found him guilty? Somehow, you know more than those that sat and listened to the evidence.

Hmm.

" I think most fair trials have a predetermined outcome"...my question to you..Have you ever served jury duty? I have several times..you do not know in advance which trial if any you will sit on.

"I just think it was a fair trial with a predetermined outcome."

I think most fair trials have a predetermined outcome... based on the guilt or innocence of the accused.

Sorry correction...The nine jurors deliberated for a few hours before delivering their verdict

San Luis Obispo, CA, Us

It was actually just nine jurors in the civil case. Six men and three women.

Unanimous decision in just over three hours.

@2..twelve jurors selected by Trumps legal team had already decided his fate before the trial? Ridiculous

“DIG DIG DIG into this guy and throw one punch right after another. Don't let up and keep digging and punching.”

IMHO it’s more a SCRATCH, SCRATCH, SCRATCH.

DON’T DO SHIT THAT PUTS YOU IN THE POSITION!!!!!

Trump is not being treated differently than any other politician at the highest level. The only difference is when they scratch they see a little something. So they scratch again. And so on.

Trump made the calls to Georgia. They need to be looked into. Very extensively IMO.

Trump did not return the records under his own accord. Even after they were requested! That was not a shot in the dark by the National Archives or the DOJ that he had records. It is not made up that they were legally requested. They need to look into this. Very extensively IMO.

January 6th. IMO one of the darkest days in our history as a country. What happened that day can not be ignored. Like it or not, Trumps name will always be synonymous with what happened that day. Is their criminal culpability? I don’t know? IMO we should not be worried about that. We should insure through laws that we as a country are never put in that position that something like that can ever happen again.

NY hush money case. It’s fairly well documented here what my opinion on that is. But, the bottom line is he may have committed a crime. A jury should determine if they agree if he did. That being said, there is no guarantee that a Trump lover or two do not get on that jury. Things seems to be evenly split as far as supportive vs non supportive. Even in NYC. To think otherwise is being naive and defensive.

Trumps 27 lawyers could not convince 12 jurors...Trumps own video depositions cut his own throat..Celebrities for the last million years have control over females or something like that..WTF...His trial was completely fair

“Kind of like the way you shit sucking fuckwits protected Bill Clinton. Right back at you, and FUCK YOU!!!”

I’m gonna bite. Please remind me what Bill Clinton was protector for?

"I didn't either but I have no doubt the verdict was decided before the trial even began."

Okay, I guess everyone has an opinion. I absolutely agree that a lot of people want to see Trump go down.

However, I was asking what about this particular trial wasn't fair.

You know, like demonstrably unfair in a way that is clearly apparent or capable of being logically proven.

Like Joe Friday used to say... Just the facts, ma'am.

Anyway... I think criminal defendant Trump has much bigger problems now than little old Ms. Carroll.

I've said a similar thing in relation to Clarence Thomas that also applies here. America is in political tribal warfare, and I will protect my tribe just like the left protects their tribe. I don't care if Clarence Thomas is a crook, he's MY FUCKING CROOK AND FUCK YOU IF YOU WANT TO TAKE HIM DOWN FOR IT!!!

Same with Donald Trump. I don't care what "proof" you claim to have or what any god damned liberal jury says, HE'S MY RAPIST AND FUCK YOU STRAIGHT TO HELL IF YOU TRY TO TAKE HIM DOWN FOR IT!!!

Kind of like the way you shit sucking fuckwits protected Bill Clinton. Right back at you, and FUCK YOU!!!

Please tell us what was unfair about it. I didn't follow the trial.

I didn't either but I have no doubt the verdict was decided before the trial even began. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying he was or wasn't liable for damages. I'm just saying that many people are dead set to get him on SOMETHING. (ANYTHING) Sooner or later they ABSOLUTELY needed a win. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the statutes of limitations extended just months before? If true. Gee, what a coincidence.

I'm gonna give the dems some credit. They hatched a good plan and likely it'll end up working. DIG DIG DIG into this guy and throw one punch right after another. Don't let up and keep digging and punching. The punches don't need to land that well but it'll keep him on the defense 24/7. (it's getting quite tiresome)(tiresome to the point that I believe a good majority of the nation doesn't really give a rats ass anymore) It's just another episode of "Let's get Trump". If it goes another season it will surpass "The West Wing" as the longest running political drama series.

"Did you ever think to ask why this woman only pursued a civil case?"

My guess would be that private prosecutions are barred under New York law as a violation of the defendant's due process rights.

See Kampfer v. Vonderheide.

@Sard

"he was found liable...that matters as well as the $5M that he has to pay. And after the CNN fiasco...she will file again for defamation..the more he talks the more he pays."

Did you ever think to ask why this woman only pursued a civil case? And do you honestly believe Trump would ever get a fair trial (criminal or civil) in New York? Yeah, she'd have had her ass handed to her in a criminal case where the burden of proof much harder to get a guilty verdict. And i am willing to bet had this civil case been tried in another state she would have lost the case.

Lastly

@SARD "Supporting a rapist...not shocked at all.." Show me where he was found guilty of rape in the civil lawsuit, I'll wait!

they must prove the judge made a legal mistake...good luck with that.

I need to not type while on a conference call :)

knew, not new.

I also read that Trump's attorney has notified the court that they will be appealing.

Irondequoit, NY, Us

I’m curious if he needs to put up a bind for the Federal Court?

It’s actually a smart law. Stops frivolous appeals.

@One

Thanks! I was wrong. I new NY opened a window to go back in time for this case. Therefore, I assumed it was a NY case. Hmm. Now I am curious how that came about!
