"...I've never even heard of barramundi or seen it offered at a store anywhere."

I bought some today. It was in the freezer section between scallops and wild caught sockeye.

Really? It’s pretty common. Not something rare like Wahoo.

I'm pretty sure I've never even heard of barramundi or seen it offered at a store anywhere. Interesting.

Mrs. FL looked at a collection of recipes that came with last'weekend's Sunday NYT and liked a dozen of them. I think it's going to be a "try it and see if it passes the 'good enough to repeat for company' type of weekend...

Barramundi with lemon and herbs. I considered just eating marshmallows but decided to try adulting tonight.

" a foil pouch set-up with a complete meal in the pouch"

I have a friend who calls that a man pack at our hunting camp.. Each one is an individual meal for each person at the campfire. No plates, no clean up, just tinfoil and plastic forks for the trash bag.

It’s always interesting how people out themselves. Calling your family's generosity, eating out on “someone else’s dime” is a window into how someone views others.

smashcheeseburger on the gas grill........not as good as charcoal but not to bad

Bensalem, PA, Us

Agreed... Charcoal or well-established wood coals, beats gas grill flavor. However, you cannot deny the ease nor efficiency of cooking on a gas grill, versus cooking on charcoal or wood coal.

I truly miss campfire cooking, especially a foil pouch set-up with a complete meal in the pouch. Put a beef stew set-up in a foil pouch minus the gravy, add a touch of water and salt & pepper, poke a few holes in the foil and throw the pouch directly on the coals with the holes upwards. Depending on how hot the coals are, you have a hot meal in a half hour to an hour.

Yes, new picture is from graduating college this past Sunday.

A burger on a charcoal grill (or over coals in the campfire) make cooking with gas paltry in comparison.

I see you have a new profile picture...

Last night was rainy weather and decided to not mess with the grill. I put a burger in a pan on the stove... Ever since receiving a grill as a gift earlier this month and cooking burgers on that grill, having a burger cooked in a pan on the stove is paltry in comparison of taste of when cooking a burger on my grill.

Gluten free spaghetti with four cheese alfredo sauce, two slices of faux garlic bread and sun brewed tea that I made today.

Okra makes a reappearance.

I made salad to go with takeout from our local diner - we both got catfish dinners.

Phoebert had slaw, fried okra & onion rings as his sides and I had tater tots and fried okra.

Went to Golden Corral tonight with my graduation cap & gown, my sister and a friend of mine. Got the free meal that Golden Corral offers grads... I had a Caeser salad, tamales, Bourbon Street Chicken, broccoli, green beans, mashed potatoes and chocolate pudding. I ate damn good and on someone else's dime tonight!
