Strange Contacts on SLS

It never ceases to amaze me that people think when someone views their profile that the profile viewing them either has has an interest in meeting or are "screwing" with them. If you post something anywhere on the site or come up as a possible match on someone's home page, you will probably have people look out of curiosity. But...

I've seen several profiles that a search for a word, usually in their tagline but could be anywhere in the profile, will bring you to sites that are for escort services.

Mayhem, I was also thinking the same time. Why would a women contact a guy that is 300+ miles away? Anyway, I'm older and wiser to fall for that. LOL

spoonerpa - If those women where very far away, it's very possible that they're scammers. I have come across young ladies that make no bones about wanting you to wine and dine them and shower them with gifts. In essense, prostitutes but worse, since there is no guarantee of sex.

It wouldn't surprise me if they expected you to send them a plane ticket to come out and visit you that they then try to cash in for $$$. Either that, or expect you to travel to them and throw money at them. Hell, you may even get sex out of it but at that point, why not just hire a local "escort"?

Yeah, we get views from all over the USA. Assume most of it is because of forum participation.

I have been on SLS for a long time and recently I have notice I have been some strange contacts. In the last few weeks, I have received messages from single woman (40ish, very attractive) who are fairly far away from me. I'm not sure what to make of it since it just started to happen. I also seem to be having people view my profile that are a distance away. I'm not sure if these are real or just someone screwing with me. LOL Has any other mature single males noticed this? Any ideas why this may be happening all of a sudden?
