Match and then ghost

Bensalem, PA, Us

It is sad that people choose to have initial interest, then ghost others. Couples, single women and single men are all victims of being ghosted. It is not just couples or single women that do it. Sadly, single men have been outed in ghosting people, too. It is sad that people choose this type of ignorant and indignant behavior. If one changes their mind or gets cold feet, be the stand up person and say so. You'd get more respect from the other party by saying you've changed your mind, versus letting the other party hang.

If you expect particular behavior from another human, you will more often than not be disappointed.
We're curious about something. It's not just here but, really, on all major platforms. We like someone. They like us back. We've now matched, but when we send them a message, it's crickets. 2-3 days go by. Maybe there's a response but, more often, nothing. If we get a response, no matter how fast we respond to their response, it's 2-3 days until the next response. Can someone explain this to us? Can we all agree that the entire point of sites like this are to connect with people and get to know each other? We'll wait for a few days, and each day we notice they've been online on that day but no response. It's almost absolute that they've seen our response. So, the question is, which one of two things is it? Is it a test, or are they're insanely fucking rude. Is there a third option? Please don't say digital availability - it's beneath all of us.
We drove three hours last weekend to meet a unicorn. Paid for a hotel (and not a roach motel), gas, meals, OUR TIME!!! and she never showed up. No explanation and she has been online since. Been talking to a couple this last week and just like you say, responses take hours. Last response was two days ago. Supposed to meet tomorrow but all we have gotten is a time, but no place. The kicker is, they are aware of the no show from last weekend and professed their dismay at that situation. I think the simple answer is that people are fucked up. Wish there was a way to ban people like this.
