Flakes

I think our (self admitted) lack of spontaneity helps us avoid the flakes. If you can stick with a few week rolling conversation and flirting there’s a pretty good chance of them showing up for dinner/drinks/sex.

There are flakes but we see more of the stale profiles. You’ve seen them in your local neighborhoods. The same set of pictures that are 5 years old and NEVER change.. The non descriptive 3 line profile. The five word initial message. These and a few others seem to be the norm, at least in our target age group. We are actually swinging more somewhere else and stick around here for a few party notifications....YMMV

We too have come across those who "left us hanging" after a hotel and meet and no show on SLS.. So we have a hard fast rule, Now we IM, if we decide to meet we do so quickly at a local bar or somewhere to chat.. change phone numbers, any deviation, excuses, oh please and we block them.. just last year we caught 3 guys locally..who claimed to be single on SLS all were married and cheating!

I have suggested a YELP type rating 1-5 with comments vs Certs which are a joke !

Is there any recourse for fakes and flakes. Generally met some swell people on here but one guy recently reached out to us , charmed the hell out of my wife and they chatted for awhile and it got to be as serious as could be online lol. When it came time to meet we got the hotel , he never showed and blocked us on sls . A day later he reached out and apologized and begged for a second chance and how he was never like this it was just a bad mistake etc. He charmed her again and this time he was supposed to make plans but again dropped off and hasn’t responded. I’m mad about my own stupidity but madder that he led my wife on only to ghost her ... twice. I tried to put a warning on her page but got a message that I wasn’t allowed to do that. Just angry he can do this crap and keep his account and maybe doing it to others
