So did joe paterno,
Urban Meyer
Urban Meyer followed procedures, but the court of public opinion will be his downfall.

I have not followed this situation that closely. Ironically I should have because I went to UF - Go Gators! But from what I just read . . .honestly, what did Urban do wrong? Seriously, educate me on this. From what I read, he talked to the coach, did some research, found out it was a toxic marriage but no proof of abuse, then at a media day didn't answer the media about it. But he did fire the guy.
Has there been charges against the abuser? Is it a he said - she said scenario?
Urban now admits that he knew about the allegations. He’s probably done. Time to bring on big game bob stoops a Youngstown native.
FRED nailed it.
I have a statement that I use for a few people I have mentored. It is: Everyone puts out a level of shit. Every day the person that signs the front of the check that you get is determining if the shit you put out is worth them signing the check. So if you put out a lot of shit you really had better produce.
Urban is in that situation now.
Will the athletic department think his shit is worth it and keep him or toss him to the side. I think if he did know, he will be tossed to the side. I think if it comes out that he didn't know, he will get the slap.
that’s not a correct statement about the sec. ask the ol miss coach who got fired for less. Ask bobby patrino from Arkansas if they will cover up stuff. It’s the way things work nowadays no matter what conference you coach in.
All conferences and coach’s cover up stuff. It’s just a matter if they get caught or not.
If this were an SEC team you would have never heard anything about it, the old boy network would have paid off whoever it took to keep a lid on things.
The Big Ten in general and Ohio State in particular holds itself to a higher standard and will likely fire him. The precedent was Jim Tressel who didn’t report players trading team swag for tattoos.
I went to Ohio State so I am still holding out hope he is exonerated but if it is proven he covered up or didn’t report the suspected abuse, I believe he should be fired.

Maybe 25 years ago he might have gotten a slap on the wrist. In today’s world he won’t coach at Ohio st again. Depending on how bad it is a what he knew maybe never again.
I know it is a bit premature but it seems like the majority of so called experts think he won't coach again. I think he will get off with a slap on the wrist, maybe a game or two suspension. What do college football fans think?
