REZUME procedure side effects

BeachBabe - Just curious, but does it still feel like you have an orgasm except nothing comes out? Since my uroloift procedure I'm no longer on Tamsulosin either, but still don't get a lot of semen. I have started losing weight and noticed a little more from that, but the lack of semen could just be part of getting older vs the procedure. I realize I have some and you have none, but you are also about 6-7 years older than me.

@OP…yep, same thing. Dr said “get used to it…probably not going to come back.” That was three years ago…

Sadly my Dr. says there is nothing he can do for this rare side affect. We both miss the thrill.....

Had my procedure in '17 with no negative affects, still have good flow and no more trips to the bathroom at night.

Makes sense but it sounded like a blessing to me lol

FF - Crazy as it sounds, some women like being covered in cum ;-) Seriously, when it goes into the bladder it can cause other health issues over time. In hindsight, I think that I have had some amount of that happening to me as well.

It's a case of liquid following the path of least resistance. If it's easier to take a right into the bladder than it is to take a left and squirt out as it's supposed to, that's what it's going to do.

Wait, you cum but there's no mess ? What's the issue ?

May want to talk to the doc. Found this Googling around -

"Erections are not affected by the Rezum procedure. There is a one to two percent chance of retrograde ejaculation, which occurs when semen enters the bladder instead of the penis, causing very little to no semen to be ejaculated. This is a significantly lower percentage than in other prostate procedures."

Also found -

"With retrograde ejaculation, the bladder neck muscle doesn't tighten properly. As a result, sperm can enter the bladder instead of being ejected out of your body through the penis. Several conditions can cause problems with the muscle that closes the bladder during ejaculation."

Obviously not a doctor, but if the latter is happening I would think that a urine test may be able to detect this if you took one after orgasming and before you have urinated. Regarding this test, I found this -

"The post-ejaculate urine sample is evaluated for the presence of sperm. Presence of a significant number of sperm in the urine is an indication of retrograde ejaculation (sperm released into the bladder). Sperm can be recovered from the urine for assisted reproduction procedures"

Have you discussed with your doctor?? What does he say???

Last summer (2020) I had the rezume procedure for my "massive" (hahahaha) prostrate. Prior to that I was on Tamalusin and had reduced semen ejaculation. Since the procedure, I no longer ejaculate at all. Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions?
