The site does take a percentage but it seems fair as it takes the hassle out of running our own site.

Word to the wise is to use a HD camcorder with good lighting, put effort into your videos. Many think they can just post a few short smartphone clips and expect the money to roll in. Wrong! Our videos are 10 minutes to an hour long and our fans love it!! At over 2 millions views now ;)

You have gotten some good warnings. We know some people who thought things would never circle back to them. They took tons of precautions and assumed they had done enough. Just assume your kids, parents, and the cashier at McDonald's will see your hard work. There are some ways to conceal your identity if that is an issue. Spend some time figuring that out.
Now, as Travelvet has pointed out, you need to put a ton of work into quality with means tons of lighting and shooting at a bare bones hd of 720. Keep in mind that even though you are gunning for the amateur category there is some really stiff competition. These guys get the injections and stay up for days. Be sure you find people who can perform really well and a super well groomed. Be sure that you have actors/players sign the waivers provided by the hub, hamster, or any chat site you might use. Also consider talking to a lawyer and being sure that these work in your state and will protect you from liability. You may need to use a second for where you live to keep you safe. This won't mean that they cannot or will not sue you at some point. Especially, if your actor turns out to be someone's cheating husband. Take a lot of time to vet those you are going to perform with. If you are going bare back then insist on testing and test yourselves regularly. The clinic folks will know your names and probably your web page. Also, put in some quality practice time in front of the camera to get your lighting and mics all set up correctly. Avoid amateur errors like shadows from the tripod or camera guy. Think about spending a month perfecting your set up before moving toward shooting. Then just start with some solo shoots to introduce yourselves or just your wife.

Now that you know I'm no expert... I can tell you what I've learned through talking with the head guys and decades of watching.........

Anybody these days can get a camera, a woman, and have sex. Upload it to any number of sites and now you're doing amateur porn. What will set you apart is what porn are you shooting? Is it high quality HD? Is it well lit so you can see everything? Do I want to see you both having sex in the first place? Do you have good angles? Good sounds of love making? Do you both look like you're enjoying it? Etc etc.

That's video one... Now how are you going to keep me coming back? Same room each time? Same outfits? Same dialogue? Same people? Same titles? Are you going to do something new? Innovative? Sexier than the last time? Are you consistent?

All of that is your gameplan and investment plan. Anybody can have a PHub or OFans page. But can you keep people coming back to watch YOU? Are you willing to invest in that expensive camera and light set and get different hotel rooms?

OP: Are you looking to do this just for you, make amatuer porn for others using others, or go public with yourself being the actors to make a buck or 2? If the latter, one of the current forum people (overeducatedcouple?) is doing that through Porn hub an can probably give you more details.

I'd give that lot of thought if I was you. As one who had a couple videos of myself posted on a porn sight, without my permission, it wasn't easy to get them down. When I was younger did a little modeling and there is nude stuff out there, but nothing sexual. that I can't do anything about. But having worked for large conservative corporations, the videos did cause me to lose some sleep. Fortunately they caused me no problems, hopefully no one I worked with saw them. If they did they kept there mouths shut and never mentioned it to me. You act in them they will be out there forever, you sign releases for their release and distribution. We know a couple who made some in L.A., while out there on a trip. Nothing big, made a few thousand dollars. They really don't care who sees them.

It would appear to be pretty straight forward on pornhub: create an account, video or cam some play, post a teaser and see if anyone “contributes”. Issue is it’s not very private for performers. Have eyes wide open if you proceed, and if you do hope it is all you hope it to be.
