I think you got half of it right. The newness has worn off. The excitement hasn't :)

Erotic-I am sure that after I have been in the lifestyle as long as y'all have been, then the newness and excitement may wear off. Right now, I am enjoying the thrill of meeting new friends. It also might sound like I am just adding notches to my bedpost, but I am selective about who I play with, so that does add the challenge there. In the meantime, I am enjoying the ride. :)

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer . . . not all women count and after a point in time, women definitely stop counting. I think counting is generally for people that are new to the lifestyle. I know that when we started, back in the 90s, we kept a list of encounters. Once we got past triple digits, we tapered off on counting and updating the list.

As far as the person who mentioned they knew someone who was shooting for 50 in a year. We met a woman who was shooting for 365 different guys for a year. She also did women, but she didn't care about counting those. I was going to have sex with her, but at the last minute I chose not to. Not because she was doing 365 guys, but because she was doing 365 guys! I felt I was just a number, on a scorecard and that she would fuck me if there was no chemistry between us. As I don't like fucking women where there is no chemistry, this was just a no go for me.
