Don't listen to the married man pretending to know what single women want.
I play with couples frequently, but avoid couples who are only looking for fmf threesomes. Too much chance of the couple thinking I'm only there to fulfill their fantasies. Also, the single minded pursuit of single women is off-putting.
You may be running into both of those things, and in neither case would your attractiveness ease your path.
Single women that want to play with a couples is very very rare. Single women will want to play with your wife only.
Also, some regions simply won't have as many people participating in the LS, especially more rural areas, which tends to limit your options (I grew up in Kings County, so I have a fair knowledge of the area).
Not sure how wide you're casting your net, but I suspect that you might have better luck checking out folks from the Bakersfield and Fresno areas.

So my partner and I have recently decided to try a threesome together. I have always been the unicorn. It has been over a decade since I last did it. It has been about 7 years or so for him.
