Desire Pearl is the smaller, more upscale half of Original Group's two-resort Desire portfolio in Mexico's Riviera Maya. With just 88 suites set on a boutique beachfront in Puerto Morelos — 20 minutes south of Cancún International — Pearl trades the bigger party energy of Desire Riviera Maya for a quieter, more intimate experience aimed squarely at couples in their 30s through 50s.
Couples-only and clothing-optional
Desire Pearl is strictly couples-only with a 21+ minimum age. Clothing is optional throughout the resort — the oceanfront pool, the beach, most bars, and the Playroom. Standard cover-ups apply only in the main dining room and at the reception areas. Unlike Hedonism's two-side split, every guest at Pearl is part of the clothing-optional program, which creates a more consistent on-property atmosphere.
Suites and accommodations
All 88 suites face the ocean. Higher tiers add private rooftop terraces (popular for couples who want their own clothing-optional space outside the main pool), swim-up access, or private plunge pools. Junior Suites with rooftop terrace are the most-booked category; Master Suite Lover's Nest with rooftop and outdoor hot tub is the top tier.
The Playroom and Sin Room
Pearl's Playroom is the most-discussed feature on lifestyle forums — a dedicated couples-only adult play space available evenings. Adjacent is the Sin Room, a smaller themed lounge with rotating décor. Both follow strict consent and discretion rules; the resort hosts orientation walk-throughs for first-time guests to set expectations.
What's included
All-inclusive plan covers meals at the three restaurants, premium drinks at all three bars and the nightclub, fitness classes, and access to all clothing-optional zones. Spa treatments and certain workshops are paid add-ons. The Prestige Select beverage package included in all bookings covers premium spirits the standard package does not.
Sensual workshops and programming
Pearl runs a rotating program of sensual workshops: tantric massage, communication and boundaries, sensual dance, role-play. These are couples-only and entirely optional but well attended. Some couples plan their stay around specific workshop weeks; Original Group's group bookings often book against a theme.
