House Party or Club Night: Which Is Your Scene?
Private house parties (couples invite each other to host) and lifestyle clubs are the two dominant local-scene formats. House parties are smaller, vetted, and more intimate; clubs are larger, anonymous, and more energy. Most lifestyle couples eventually do both — but starting with the right one matters.

Your result
- 12-15 — House parties. House parties are your speed. Find an established host couple in your region (often through a local lifestyle community), attend twice as a guest before you ever host, and learn the etiquette by watching.
- 8-11 — Both formats — start with off-premise. You'd thrive in both. Start with off-premise club nights to learn the etiquette in a lower-stakes setting; once you've made friends with regulars, house-party invites tend to follow.
- 4-7 — Lifestyle clubs. Clubs are the better fit — more anonymity, no hosting pressure, and the freedom to leave whenever. Pick an off-premise club for your first night.
- 0-3 — Resort weekend or convention first. Local-scene formats may not be your starting point. A lifestyle resort weekend (Hedonism, Caliente) gives you the experience away from your home zip code, which is what most couples want for their first time.
