Why??

I have a set of the GFS soapbar goldfoils on my last project guitar. They're not the Teisco-style goldfoils in construction, they're really P90s in that cheezy goldfoil trim. Good sounding pickups, I'd bet that the GFS P90s in traditional trim would probably sound similar.

As for GFS, when they hit, they tend to hit home runs. But you do have to be a little careful, because they sometimes have duds. I had a pre-wired harness I bought from them that sounded great but had a horribly microphonic pickup switch. Swapped it out with a higher quality switch and now it's fine.

Considering how inexpensive the GFS stuff is, I still call it a win. Just ignore the outlandish "everyone else's parts are crap" rhetoric.

A few years back, I was kind of hard up for some comedy to throw down on the forums, the juices just weren't flowing (hey, we all go through dry spells). So I made some offhand comment about my Batman hand puppet, which I really have. It's the one that I had as a kid, a cheap toy from the Adam West Batman era.

Then I didn't log in to the site for a few days, I think that real life kind of intruded. When I came back, turns out this crew had a field day talking smack and generally having a blast making fun of me. facepalm I figured that bitching about it would just make things worse, so I just embraced my inner puppeteer and went along with the joke. :)

The rest, as they say, is history.

Yes, M has seen the puppet in the flesh... so to speak. Or maybe, "in the plastic", which doesn't have the same verbal zing to it.

Well, you have to be careful about the puppet. The little bastard gets out of my sock drawer sometimes, logs in and pervs with my profile.

Other than the OP apparently using a thread to vent, she pretty much answered her own question in a nutshell. One just has to try to stay positive and have a pleasant day in lieu of the negativity.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here, some may blast me, but I don’t care. The reason is too many people have become keyboard commandos. 98% of the time they would never say this to you in person. But, we as society have allows it to happen. Too many people just let it slide, when what should be happening is you or any wine else publicly putting their name out there for us all to know and let society fix their little problem for them.

Some people are so desperately inadequate that they're driven to attack others solely for the sin of coming to their attention.

Why? Because some people are assholes who get off on making other people feel shitty.

Those people are not worth your time or the heartache. Immediate block, move on and forget them.

I'm sure most of us are rational, same and very nice people.
