Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p><strong>Update 6.9.16</strong></p>

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

We just tried to check out a no-picture couple which viewed us, and got the "this person chooses to have their profile hidden from couples" popup. If we were able to block these asshats, we would. Grrr.

I'm curious how people use this shiny new feature, as I am having a hard time understanding its purpose. Unless it's just to bring your attention to profiles you might not have already seen? People look at profiles all the time for any number of reasons. So if someone views your profile and doesn't feel inspired to send a message, it would seem to me the view doesn't really mean anything and is irrelevant.

Would it be possible to post a date time stamp below the pic on the view?

Aha! It's okay with me since by doing so I get to see profiles I would have otherwise never seen.

Grrrrrrrrr.

So we now have about a hundred or so emails asking, "Why can those who have us blocked still view our profiles?" So what are we looking at on a fix for this? 6 mos? A year? Or are we just going to add it in on the next "Upgrade/Assfuck"?

Resetting and manual tracking, simple. We reset to see the most recent, but we have better things to do than keep score cards.

Hello, we were wondering if profiles we view are able to tell how many times we have viewed their profile? I have had people tell me they have seen us view them 25 times for example. I do not see this anywhere where I am able to see how many times others have viewed ours? are we missing something. thanks

Hey, could you also include the amount of time they spent looking at the profile?

I mean, if it's a 3 second glance then they obviously accidentally clicked or were completely disgusted immediately but a 5 minute perv time would indicate their is at least some degree of hubba-hubba going on.

Something on the views from people out of state. Recently I noticed we were getting viewed from numerous couples in Massachusetts, (we're in Ga.). We recently played with a SM that lives here but travels a lot. He is registered for an event in Massachusetts in the fall. People there are checking his profile from the "guest list" and apparently checking us from our certification on him. Hell, I may have to take a trip to Massachusetts now" lol

Nautitwo: Thanks. I think I remember that from the former view. I'll check it out.

This would be a suggestion on all the thumbnail photos, whether it's who's viewed me, random matches or newest matches. The straight/bi preference of the two isn't as important to us as the ages for checking out the full profiles. It's so hard to tell how old they are based on the small photo, and we'd rather not click on couples who are way out of our age range, especially now that they can see who has been checking them out. :)

One glitch in this new feature is that it incorrectly records a "view" that never took place. I've confirmed with other members that I show up on their who-viewed me, even though their profile is closed to single males and all I actually "view" is the notice informing me of same.

This probably ought to be fixed, since it will scare some members into thinking that their profile is being viewed by members they thought were blocked.

How about a feature to remove who viewed me who blocks me from them ? Just one suggestion among others I have....

Sorry, as to why your profile gets viewed by others far, far away may be a few things I can think of: You opted or allowed your profile to be featured on the web site home page or login. You have posted a lot of pictures. Or, you have posted a lot of pictures and your profile picture looks like yours, you will definitely get a lot of views. Hell, it could be your fault. The thing missed most with the old view is the fly-over. One can view the basics before they click on the profile. Other than that, it's an improvement.

What do the numbers next to each picture mean
