Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p><strong>Update 6.9.16</strong></p>

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

"And why can I view single men, but they can't view me?"

Single male profiles can't see you because you have your profile closed to them. If you want to make your profile open to SMs, go to the "Preferences" tab of Edit Profile and for single males click on something other than "block them" or "no interest."

Where can I find the WVM feature? HELP!!! And it would be great if they date stamped the notification of when we were viewed. And why can I view single men, but they can't view me? If someone views me, and doesn't say anything, what value is that? If someone pervs my public pics, I should get 3 hours with their personal pics as compensation. Thanks.

It seems like it would be an easy fix to simply swipe to delete the the viewers that you do not want to keep

Yes, but keep in mind, it's the equivalency of asking the Easter Bunny to show at Halloween. ;-)

As others have hypothesized, it seems that people posting photos (and maybe profiles?) I've reviewed are showing up in my WMV list. I suspect that my viewing of their picture causes me to show up in their WMV list, and then they check me out.

This seems like a bug, to me. If I view a picture as a reviewer, I should not show up to the submitter of the picture as someone who has viewed their profile.

Can anyone from SLS comment?

It is pretty easy to stop singles from looking at your profile, simply switch your Interest Levels to "Block Them". Poof! they can't bother you with their unsolicited viewing anymore. What's that? You do want the hot singles to look? Ummm, can't help you with that one.

Congratulations curiousone610! You are the 1 millionth single male to whine about how unfair it is for couples (who are hidden from single males to reduce the Crap-ton of stupid emails) to look at the profile of a guy they may want to meet! You win the DUH award!!

Here's a good one in my opinion. I'm a paid member, but with the new who viewed me feature, someone who blocks single males from viewing their profile or bi or bi curious can still view me but when they show up on my " who viewed me" I can't view them. One way viewing doesn't seem fair. :).

While it is a great tool that has been added, I have only two issue.

1. Where is the DELETE button.
2. Same person Multiple times.

We see too many Singles that look and most of them we have ZERO interest in meeting. Would like to delete them.
As for Multiple times if one is done two will disappear.

Hey Back, IDK if I can help you find the who viewed me, but I just viewed your profile. So, thats 1 for you.

I just upgraded my profile but we still cant see who viewed our profile.......HELP !!!

Since the new feature started it has GREATLY increased the traffic between people. Good work. Also, I agree with having the ability to selectively delete IMs w/o deleting all IMs

Very happy with the 'Who viewed me Feature'. Wondering if it could be possible to look at the IM Log. Would be great to be able to selectively delete some IM messages. As of now you either keep them all or kill them all. How about letting us delete the ones we want. Just a thought, keep up the great work.

Agree with nhkh that a date of view be included with this information. Would like to know if someone viewed our profile whether it was recent or in the distant past. Don't know how long back the list of these views goes.
