Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p><strong>Update 6.9.16</strong></p>

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p> <strong>Please Read First - Who Viewed Me FAQ and Answers</strong> </p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

If a member views my profile, I always at least send a "Thank you for visiting my profile." note

Nice feature....but it can also be detrimental in reaching out to those that have viewed you. If someone views you and doesn't contact you, it's perceived as a lack of interest. This may not be the case, but you are now apprehensive in contacting them. If you are going to have this feature, I would love to see an added ability to signify an interest. This could be done with a "flirt" or "wink" feature, or even just notifying you if someone places you on their friends list. Just a few suggestions to help encourage those who are concerned about wasting their time, or being shot down with an email. Thanks!

Crazy, the upper left is how far they are from you. Lower left is how many pics they have. Though, if it makes you feel better, I just assum3 it's how many times they jerk it to our pics....

"What does the number in the corner signify?"

That would depend on which corner the number is in. If there is a number in the upper left corner, it means one thing. If the number is in the lower right corner, it means another thing. Hope that helps. :-)

Eat me, it's a damn mystery. I'm going to start a new thread to ask those questions. I also want to know what the green dot means. I can't seem to find the discussion boards either. I need help with walking and talking too. And whether it's proper to wipe from front to back or back to front. I NEED ANSWERS DAMNIT! HA! Chris

njny and melbnz, you guys wanna know what those numbers in the bottom right corner of the thumbnail means? Or maybe why the thumbnail picture only works when scrolled to a certain portion of the screen before highlighting? Or even what the little red number on the mail tab is for? You know where the Who Viewed Me is located on the home screen?

Ha. I can bang the wife for free at home. But the dance floor was empty. I'm not talking about hooking up btw. Just hanging out and partying with others. Congrats on the new relationship! It took us 4 hours to get to Parsippany last week and 3 on the way home. Of course, moron boy here, took the GWB on a Friday evening on the way down...dumb, dumb, dumb...

Nynj, I do occasionally check it, been a bit out of the scene recently. I assume you are talking about the Sharenation one in Jersey? Probably not. We just don't like the venue. We've been 3 times now and not enjoyed a single time there. The area is nice, the hotel staff is welcoming, it's just too spread out and disjointed there. People end up walking around all night looking for something to do. We were there last weekend and I couldn't wait to come home. The Mrs. said that it was ok, that it was just my mood. Who knows.

The number refers to the amount of photos someone has on their profile.

What does the little number in white in the bottom right corner of the persons profile mean? The number of times they have viewed my profile? That would be a cool feature to know so you can tell if you have obsessed stalkers.

We still do not have who viewed me page, we have Google Chrome on a lap top please help

While I like the Who viewed me feature it would be nice if there was a way I could view them, as a single male I like to know who is checking me out especially when they reach out to me in an email.

You may want to benchmark some of your competitors relative to some the issues posed here - prominent/intuitive placement of the WVM feature, ability to delete unwanted WVM viewers, and viewing rules regarding singles vs couples and non-payers. A few have handled these issues nicely.

Just a thought.

The "Whos Viewed Me" area on our page does not show profiles without a profile picture. Is that correct or by design? That area should show all profiles that viewed our page.

If they have their WVM feature disabled, it wouldn't show up in your WVM list (I think).

I'm not sure that the who viewed my profile is 100% accurate. I had a person certify me, but it doesn't show that she ever viewed my profile. Is that possible?

I love it, especially as an uncertified single bi-curious male. I can see who may be interested, and I know who got my message and if they blew me off or not.

Who viewed me is a great feature. To enhance it put a date time stamp on the visit. And also allow individual deletes rather than all or nothing.

I think the 'who viewed me' feature is nice, and way overdue.

However, as a single male, I find it frustrating to see a bunch of people who have looked at my profile, but when I click on theirs, it says "Sorry, this member has chosen to have their profile hidden from Single Males."

Why not a setting that allows me to similarly hide MY PROFILE from people who hide their profiles from me? At times, people don't even realize they are hidden to me. So, when they click on my profile, they get a message that says "Profile hidden from those that block them", or something. Worse yet, I can't even block these individuals from viewing my profile, because I can't call theirs up.
