Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p><strong>Update 6.9.16</strong></p>

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

Chronologically with pictures is the priority that shows up on your home page.

Noticed that too. Profiles without pics don't show up unless you click view more & they're listed at the end.

On the home page I clicked on the View More icon. I only viewed the first page but 19 out of the 50 were Gumby couples that never showed up on my home screen.

We like SLS the best too. Tried SDC & another site a couple yrs. ago. A wink feature may not be a bad idea for SLS. We've gotten some views where private pics were open. Guess that's sort of a wink to initially see if there's mutual interest.

TnD. I remember that from before. I never believed it though. SDC had the WVM years ago. They also had the wink option.

We still like SLS better overall

Before SLS went to the WVM feature this past summer, they had a counter that showed the number views your profile received.

Do you check who viewed me all the time? Can you say.....sad loser! Hey, your mom loves you

Oh boy, a "viewed by" counter? :D I'll admit I've viewed a few more than once but don't have the guts to message because I think they're out of our league. :(

I would like to see an icon. " Number of times this person has viewed your profile"

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the "Who Viewed Me" feature. But as previous members have posted... a wink/flirt would go a long way to establishing whether or not there is enough interest to potentially reach out. It seems as if the younger members (millennials) can be rude as hell with respect to messaging or not replying. If an expressed interest function was available, then it would certainly leave the guessing at the curb.

I also think that a feature like a wink or flirt would be cool. We get worried that we've looked at other profiles too much, since both of us login at different times. Sending an email sometimes seems like too much just because someone viewed your profile, but sending a little wink or something would be cool just to see if there's any interest in chatting.

Are we going to set it up where we can delete some views of our profile without deleting all views? This would be good to keep track of your views and get ride of the old ones without deleting ones we are interested in.

We'd like a way to use the star feature, without having to go into a profile.

After we've done a search, in order to use the 'not interested' feature you have to go in to their profile just to mark them as not interested. But it will show that we 'viewed' their profile when we would prefer not to. Disabling the view feature deletes your past viewers, which doesn't suit us.

I think it's funny how the same people continue to view us, even after we email them and they did not reply. Our feelings are not hurt if we don't get a reply, but why do they continue to check out our profile week after week?

We love the feature because it gives us some idea of who it might make sense to contact. We are looking for female/female only and so we tend to not contact many people first since what we are looking for is relatively rare. If someone views our profile repeatedly, it helps let us know that they might have read our profile, and been fine with what they saw.

We also noticed that several couples that viewed our profile were not anywhere near us, many times being from the Midwest or East Coast and we are on the West Coast.. At first we thought it was couples from the upcoming Bliss Cruise in November we are booked on.... Some were but a major majority of them weren't... Not that we are complaining, but we are intrigued on how they find us?

I just viewed Eatme's profile. Mostly to see how hot his wife is. I'm a perv that way. They are way far away so I didn't reach out, other than this post. So, I got that going for me, which is nice.

It just seem so odd to me. When I am in my actual location (East Texas), it does not happen at all. I mean I get a lot of those that are 100s and 1000+ miles away, They really clutter up my views. I have to keep clearing my views.

People from all over read the forums, we get views from 2000+ miles away. They may read your posts and click your profile.

Has anyone had this problem with the who viewed me feature?

I recently changed my location to a place that I may be traveling to, to make connections. I am getting views from that location area, and that is good. But I am also getting views from way further away from my "new " location. 100's and even 1000+ miles away. I have disabled the feature and later re-enable it and still get the "odd" views.

The black box numbers are the number of pics that the profile has available, depending on your membership status.

what do the numbers in black box mean?

lol Etex, sometimes people make a bad touch or swipe on their phone. I do it all the time, frankly. If you sent out 100 of those emails thanking them and say, 75 of them replied, sorry about the accidental view. That would be a downer huh? if people are truly interested, they will send an email.

We understand it can mislead people into believing there is a drawn interest base on different thought processes and we are a passive couple when it comes to the WVM and only reach back, not out, due to that.
