Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p><strong>Update 6.9.16</strong></p>

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

Why is it, thst most of the views i am getting lately . Are drom people 500 miles away?

We love this feature and were some of the first advocates of "Who viewed me" being implemented on SLS. One thing we can see from our vantage point, is that folks are looking at our profile, but we can't see their profile because they have couples blocked or have their profile hidden so that we can't view their profile. I know it's a minor thing, but if YOU ARE going to look at our profile...we should be able to view you as well! We've had two incidents where couples have viewed us but can't be decent enough to share their profile with us. Petty!!!!

I have found d that on order to see all who have viewed our profile.... Must click who viewed me, then sort by date. The default setting is to show chronologically by the number of pictures available? Why not just show who actually viewed me

This may have been mentioned before, but with that feature they can view you but you can't view them because they don't allow single males. This isn't on SLS, this is on the couples...OR single females that take a peek at my profile. If I can't view your profile after you looking at mine, then what is the point of you checking out my profile in the first place?

Quick question. It seems as though the who's viewed me and neweat match seemed to stop updating after I paid for my membership. It could be o one has viewed me in the last 8 hours; but the newst match isn't updating either

We noticed today that folks who are Hiding members from seeing their profile ("Hide me from Couples" as an example) are still allowed to view couples profiles. It seems a bit unfair since the site policy - as we understand it - is that if you don't allow others to view your profile, you may not view others profiles.

I get frustrated when I receive an IM or mail from someone else who didn't pop up in my WVM! I mean really, if you are going to message, have the courtesy to have your WVM on. If you are going to be all sneaky, then message me... It is pretty much a no go.

I just wanted to say that I miss you guys a lot. That's all. And if you view our profile, leave a note as to when you did and whether you liked what you saw or if you think we suck. A smiley face or a frown face would do. Or if you're creative, a boner or flaccid penis. If you're disgusted, maybe a blue waffle? Surprise us. Bones

It sure would be great if the feature had a time stamp as to when we were viewed..

I like the new feature. It helps me know of someone I've mailed ha looked even though the mail tab say they haven't read the message. Also, AsianMILF, I travel a lot so I end up looking at profiles all over. For example, I have assets in Fresno so you might see me on your list when I'm planning a trip out that way.

The best part is, it is a toggle able feature and has absolutely no influence from politics.

There is also a politics sub-forum area you can participate in, in the event you feel compelled to conspire the leftist, rightist, wingists or not, jackasses, elephants, or even your local cleaning maid had something to do with anything of anything. ;-)

hey i have the little green online markings for all my previews for some reason at all times i truly doubt that al these people are all online at once

Why would we care who is viewing us? Not what we are here for and high school was a long time ago. Kind of sad in a huge way. Now a thumbs down button would be fantastic and yes we voted for Trump

We like the feature, but lately it seems like a lot of people who are in different states, hundreds of miles away, have been viewing our profile. Might be an idea to allow users to set a view-able range (only people within a certain range can view your profile) or at least let us filter out people that are far away (filter the 'who viewed me' to only see people within a certain range). Honestly don't care if people in other states are lurking our profile, it just kind of sucks to see an attractive couple in the 'who viewed me' only to see that they are 700 miles away...

We love the feature

I wouldn't mind seeing the star ratings of people interested in me and It would be a nice way of letting others know how much they may be interested in you.

We have deleted our public pics. SLS has turned into a place for trolls to view pics of real people in the LS. We will open our pics to those who are interested in us or us them.

Seems that the vast majority of those who have viewed our profile are thousands of miles away from us. Are these folks seeking playmates or trolling for pics or what ever. I would like to see a way to limit the distance my profile can be seen.

I would vote that if you don't have a pic of some sort with in 10 days your membership should be canceled. I mean, Its a sex site. No one is going to chat with Gumby. Also If you don't log in with in a certain time frame the membership should be deleted. I see so many fake profiles active for the first week then nothing ... They are mostly SF profiles, but we all know they are really trolls.
