Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p><strong>Update 6.9.16</strong></p>

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

We like to clear our WVM out from time to time but experiencing the same problem. E-mailed Tech Support........still waiting.

Cannot clear the WVM. Have tried three times to disable, have logged out and back on and no luck. Anyone ??

I can no longer clear the who viewed me profiles as i used to be able to do !! I can't get rid of all the a holes who view my profile and block me so I can't block them !! I have 739 profiles listed and most are from over 100 miles away ( no interest there ) and almost all the rest are idiots who look at my profile but have single males blocked so I can't block them !!! and now I can't even clear them from my list of people who viewed me !! you have taken a good feature and made it unusable as far as I am concerned , good job as usual SLS

The most recent will move to the front if they have looked earlier.

I wish I was able to disable and enable it to get rid of a bunch of profile that have view me and i can't block them / I used to be able to clear the list / not any more typical SLS maintinence i suppose

We have been reading the more recent posts and find the ones from single guys complaining about being viewed by people, but can't view them because they have blocked single males interesting.

First off we agree with the guys, it's pretty messed up that it's allowed. If you block a certain group, you shouldn't be able to view them.

We are getting really annoyed with COUPLES that view us, many multiple times, but we can't view them. We had a cpl recognize my wife from her booty pics at a recent party, but we couldn't view them because they block couples. That s not cool and it's a bit creepy. And it's worse because we can't block them. Are we also expected to just accept it? It's definitely a feature that needs a bit of tweaking.

Also for the record, we agree a lot of single guys are dicks. But so are a bunch of single women.

Nynj, I hear that. I love the parties, the dancing, being able to be uninhibited, etc... For us, it came down to the wife being sick of being groped without permission, by men she had no interest in.

Njny, in Parsippanny? Probably not. We've been on a break from parties/lifestyle for a while now. Going to a Friction event in a few weeks around here. We've been going to concerts instead. Trying to turn vanillas is always a challenge ...lol

We block single males because a vast majority that have reached out have been dick heads. I'll bet most couples who do, do it for that reason. It also means that we block single females, which sucks. We aren't interested in single males, it's not our thing, but if couples can't look at singles profiles to see who they MAY be interested in, that reduces the singles possibilities quite a bit. It is how it is. Unfortunately some single dudes are dick heads and way too persistent. Some good singles are hurt by the bad ones. Just how it is.

We think the "Who Viewed Me" feature rules. :-)

mrniceguy I disagree only from a security standpoint... if I see someone viewing me, and I don't want them to view me, but they block single males yet are still able to view me... I cannot go to their profile and subsequently block them...... they can endlessly view me and know all about my profile and pics......

it can go from anything to spying, stalking, blackmail, employment, etc etc.....

i can't block certain couples, people that I know, people that I dont want to see my profile, because they have single males blocked.. yet they are free to view my profile at anytime without any reciprocation...... i have friends that are a couple in the LS that consistantly comment to me in person about my profile, ribbing, joking, whatever... I know they are not interested in single males, I cannot view and block their profile.... bullshit.... I self edit my profile and pictures from what I really want to post out of fear some couple I know will see it

its about freedom and openness and exploring, not about hiding behind a block and lurking... thats fucked up......

bottom line, if someone is able to view my profile, in return, the viewed profile should be able to view the viewers profile....

I was just reading some of the comments on the list and there are some great suggestions. I'd like to specifically point out the one where a couple should not be able to view single males if they block single males from viewing their profile it should work both ways.

Just a thought.....it would be nice to know WHEN someone has Viewed Me...yesterday? Today? 2 days ago?

profiles that block single males from viewing their profiles should not be able to view single male profiles - PERIOD!!!!

I have friends that are couples on here, I see them looking at my profile.... they comment to me in person about my new pics or what Ive changed on my profile, but I can't see their profile EVER... blocked single males....

this is the biggest BS screw up in the system, and its also a security risk....

Welcome to the forum drill bit.

Yes, click on the gear on the top right. Click disable and apply. Then Click yes or confirm. Click home page or reload/refresh the page. Click on the gear again. Enable and apply.

Here are a couple reasons you get views 500 miles away. We travel on occasion and view folks in select areas of interest along our routes. We may have even viewed you a couple weeks or months back because we have been in Tenn a few times this year. Another reason could be, you have become an interest of conversation of a certain group of lifestyle vermin. lol

I'm going to view your profile and pictures now to see if we have viewed you two before. :-)

Just saw that a couple viewed our profile, checked their profile and this one said last time they were logged on was 114 days ago... WTF? LOL

We too have been getting views on our profile from couples anywhere from 1000-2500 miles away... But today we came across one who was the latest to view us sometime this morning and when we looked at their profile, it said the last time they were logged on was 20 days ago... So take that for what it's worth... Sounds like this may not exactly be legit...
