Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p><strong>Update 6.9.16</strong></p>

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

I do not see the who's previewed my profile feature? Where is it?

That happens to me sometimes too. I hit the reload button in the browser bar, and it comes right back. Not saying it will work for you, but it works for me.

Love the "Who Viewed Me" feature. It's nice to see who's been checking out our profile. Hope it stays, already miss it, as we logged on today and it was gone.

Why? What would be the relevance of someone 1100 miles away seeing our picture when we apply the rating?.

Fun, no. We have approved many local couples pictures and take absolutely no interest. We have, however ended up going out with some and realizing that we have approved some of their pictures, but never tell them.

I really like this feature. I have a suggestion more than comment. It would be nice if we had the same sort of feature on picture approval. I mean where someone can see who rated the picture, as an option of course, we would not get to see who posted the picture, as now, just let them see us. That would be kind of fun.

We have the new view feature disabled and the flyover still hasn't worked since the "who viewed me" feature was added.

It's the number of pictures the person/couple has in their profile. And I didn't mean to click on your profile, I was just trying to copy and paste your sn. Just don't want you getting pissed when you see that we block singles (male and Female)

Like the new feature. Not sure if someone is reading all of these comments but another one I'd love is the ability to search my email for someone. If you get a fair number of emails it can be frustrating trying to find someone you exchanged emails with a few weeks back.

what is the little black number in the bottom of the profile screen telling me when I look at who has been peeking at my profile? the numbers differ greatly ......

ours is always blank even after re-enabeling it. What gives? We are using firefox 46.01on windows7.

If the new profile view function is enabled, flyover doesn't work. So, check that out and turn it off if you want flyover back. Thats what I did and flyover works fine for me (i didn't like the profile view as much as flyover anyway)

We love the feature. We'd also love to have a feature that allows you to quick send an email - like a "Wink" - to say "hey - you look cute? Interested" ;-) - but all with a "Wink" email :D

wondering what happened to the profile fly over for quick view does it still work cause its not working on my end how does one go about fixing that like that feature looks like there are bugs still needing attention involving the who viewed us section

yes we honestly enjoy the new who viewed me section of the site at least we now have a clue we are being viewed by others but would honestly like to see a flirt button or wink button so the members of sls can show there is some attraction towards other members on the site would this be asking to much

The Who Viewed Me feature is nice to have, but not at the sacrifice of being able to log in. Maybe it is a coincidence, but around the same time of the Who Viewed Me feature, it's become harder to log in without the "our technical team is working on it" page.

ok, there are a number of threads relating to the new "Who Viewed Me" feature so hopefully I picked the right one to post...the profiles that view us keep disappearing within 30 minutes to an hour...have read this is happening to others as well, question is - what is being done to correct this situation? not only are they disappearing but they are not showing up under the "More" feature either...so basically we have no record of who has viewed our profile...the feature was disabled by us but that was several days ago and has been enabled since but the problem still exists...anyone have answers? Does it matter that I am using Firefox as my browser?

How do you know what date you were viewed? And what is the number in the black box in the corner of your profile pic?

The listing of the profiles in "Who Viewed Me" section comes and goes. That is, I can see a profile listed in the section and then 30 minutes later it is gone and the section shows no profile views. Are profiles aged out of the section after a certain amount of time? This is independent of whether we look at a profile or not.

Ahhh! So many good and some what good ideas! First off I picked on Rabbit in an earlier post but I have to admit they are right on with their last post! I too have been on since 11/06 and also know a few that lost their right to be on site. In past sight did test on new features which you could sign in and try or not! I'm all for the sight trying new things but also think some things where better before! The radio, rating pictures to name a few! Before was 2 options...one pic was OK and 2 suggested site review! If I'm not mistaken after all SLS is a swing site! So if you have a profile with or without pics it's a pretty sure bet someone is going to look at it! I'm all for whatever others want on site but give everyone the option of using it!

Started yesterday. Every time i log off, the preview becomes disabled. Then i enable it the next time i log in, then it disables itself again. i use a Chrome book with Chrome OS.

Bi couple , don't kill a good thing if you don't like it simply turn it off !!! then no one can see that you viewed them ....you probably have alot more views than you think because it hasn't worked right since Friday ..... not letting you see who viewed you for one ( no new views since re enabled ) because it has been deleting them when you sign on or at least it has for me and many others who like to communicate with other swingers click on the little gear icon and disable it ...problem solved at least for you .....
