SLS Meeting Cards

Grand Prairie, TX, Us

We use them. We use them to give to other couples that we have met and parties, and meet and greets.

Happy to see it's not just me. Today is the first time I've been able to print cards in two years. I can finally print them, but they are not lining up, as you have mentioned.
Only the top two cards are worth saving.

Mark, all good except layout 3 & 4 they still are squished to the top leaving a huge gap on the bottom of the page.

thanks

Take a look now... Been working on it this morning. Works for me (which it did not before) and a few others I tested with. See if it works for you.

WOW! its really broke now! only 2 out of the 6 cards are even editable... Uggh!

Ouch, now I know why I'm losing credibility with some of my LS friends. I keep telling them about SLS's easy Meeting Card Creator and it's been down for some time. Selfishly, like many folks, we are headed out on several LS events including the November cruise in the near future. Any chance this will be resolved before then?

We just gang up three
3.5 x 2 inches cards we create with photo editing program [GIMP]
on a 6x4 vertical card

we upload to photo lab and after local pick up we cut into three meeting cards.

Don't want to upload a sample as card has our Yahoo email address on it as well as our SLS profile link

I will be looking at the card issues early next week, and hopefully get something resolved.

Looks like its the size of the individual card that is causing the problem. instead of them being business card size 3.5 x 2 inches they are coming out 3.25in X 1.5in

Having the same issue. big huge white space at the bottom doesn't line up with anything.

Seems to me SLS has taken every measure possible to make printing on the Avery Template 8371 fail. The pdf the card creator generates has an excess of blank space at the bottom of the page prohibing anything beyond the top row of cards from fitting into the desired space. Even with the full Adobe Software Suite, I am unable to edit out the excess white space. Why are the Permissions within the Adobe document restricted to print only? Why can SLS members not have full access? Best to go back to standard card stock and use a pair of scissors as far as I am concerned.

if i click on one with a picture in it i get:

We're sorry, it appears the web page you are tying to access
is having some difficulty processing your request.
Our support staff has been notified. We will correct the problem as soon as possible.

if i click on one without picture i get the card screen like it is going to work but when i press print it says :

you must have adobe reader installed (which it is) so i click that message and then i get the same fail message:

We're sorry, it appears the web page you are tying to access
is having some difficulty processing your request.
Our support staff has been notified. We will correct the problem as soon as possible.

so that makes any user think that the problem is known about and that you are working on it. it looks like someone rushed to enter that because it says tying and not trying so it looks like it was just written in recently and in a hurry

you know what? parec60 and ctemptynesters are smart and have exactly the right idea, it is much easier just to DIY

We concur with Wayne and CT. Both types, with and without pictures, worked fine for our account when tried on FF and IE.

FYI, I just tried it in Firefox as well and it worked for me. I don't use these though as I create my own in MS Word.

You are using FireFox? I just logged in and used your profile with FireFox and they worked. I'm not sure, might be a security setting on your machine or in your browser.

"The "aa" was put in for testing. We know it is there and it will be removed. "

It's an insult to give everyone double A's, next time try Double D's :)

parec60,

What is happening when you try to use the meeting cards? I have tested them and they are working now. You can send me a private message if you wish and I will help you.

The "aa" was put in for testing. We know it is there and it will be removed.

no they are not ... they have not worked for quite a while now or just never work when we try them

Bumping this thread for the benefit of a new poster who asked about this issue.

Meeting cards are working again...pictures and all! (or at least they are tonight....lol) I've done several of them now and saved them to my hard drive. Thanks to SLS staff for fixing this, as we've been wanting cards like this for awhile.
