Somewhat ironic that the profile calling for vetting and background checks doesn't even have a single picture...... thats enough of a background check for me to stay away from those type of profiles........
@ Erotica..no I don't. My screening has worked so far. No diseases and no drama ..well...maybe a lot of drama at various times but I went limp..thank goodness.
Erottica: It isn’t going to happen, no matter the site you use and they aren’t going to start. It’s that simple. We vet before we meet because it is a way of helping reduce a risk that is there now and may always be there in the future. The best we can do is reduce it and that is what everyone here is telling you, not trolling you.

888eatme888 My entire point was to be able to eliminate all the sexual freeloaders that are on here to have a life in a forum, eliminate those who have no desire to screen their partners because I do not want to have sex with what they have had sex with too. As well as your ebay reference. Yes it is a marketplace, but the feedback system is what gives a potential buyer what kind of selling history they have had as a member. I see you have no problem laying it down for a stranger, but I on the other hand would not go just off of a random Starbucks Meetup nor do I have time to sit and be an internet troll and vet all potential partners. I would like it simple with a feedback system and that would include their past partners. Gives deep insight into their sexual health and history.
If everyone else has time to sit on here and reverse every person that has left certifications, have fun. Not me if I am paying for a membership. I want something simple to navigate and system in place to make my communication and decision making with partners on here to be productive. Not spending more time researching them, their certs, what cruise they been on, etc. I would rather my paid membership be all about being able to have fun and engage. Not troll and sleuth.
No swing/lifestyle site has any of the features you'd like to have in place. And if they did, I'm pretty sure very few people would hang around very long or join. I know we wouldn't.
You'll need to figure out how to do your own vetting because what should be enjoyable will become extremely stressful if you are worried about background checks.
We've been doing this for a while and this is what works for us. Any creepy feeling I get from anyone who emails us, I tell them we're not interested. If they keep at it, I block them. We try to keep all chat on site until we are ready to meet. And that is hard considering the IM here is awful. People get my husbands number, or our sls email only. We meet at a Starbucks. If all goes well, we decide what to do from there.

Your proposal is flawed, without prejudice.
You believe the ability to receive and give a negative review wouldn’t create some sort of drama for those involved? eBay is a marketplace, is not social and cannot be structured to be compared in the same manner.
The problem with a background check, you don’t always get the circumstances involving things that appear, would more than likely be used in malice by those receiving the information and quite frankly would be none of anyone’s business.
If someone cannot perform an adequate assessment from contact, conversation and/or interaction, ie meets, , the ability draw a conclusion to make a decision, they should get out of swinging.

Yes alot of these feaures are already available, but if you read what I wrote I noted updated features. lol And as far as vetting or being to strict, most generic dating sites are far more into secure vetting, and they are not for swing intentions. If a lot of you are into not knowing about your partner(s) that is fine, then do not use the features I am suggesting. They would be for people that want to stay clean and clear of danger or drama.
I am not suggesting a DNA profile, or HEPA violations here. LOL

There are risks in everything we do in the lifestyle. Exposure to those risk depend on your willingness to open yourself to those risks. People lie, no matter how well you know them; the type and extent of lie depends on their comfort in letting certain private aspects be known. A background check is going to reveal no medical conditions, which some of us counter with papers when asked.
I honestly believe you are wanting to be cautious but are closing yourself off to finding your clique. Vetting, using exploits and techniques would take presedence to risks exposuring.

@BlackLeatherMan So essentially you want to catch diseases from liars, end up in a situation with a x con husband a "good time" could have, and more? I would not see what a background check would hurt, unless one has something to hide. I mean. LOL Strangers in a most vulnerable situation like swinging could very well become target for anything.
Online anything sucks at best. Go out meet some people in person. I don't want to background check you to have a fuckin good time. What you do to stay out or in jail is not my concern but it's nice conversation in between sessions.
These are just some ideas and prob never go through. But as a user on here, I would be more prone to interact and engage with others knowing they are genuine and/or safe. This would save me and I am sure others a lot of time, if users had a rating system based on several factors:
