Mail Deletion

The fact that you cannot completely delete email from your profile is not an oversight. It is part of the design. It is the site policing your relationship whether you want them to or not.

They have enough to do without dealing with emails from members inquiring about hidden or deleted emails which might potentially indicate infidelity.

Doesn't guarantee anything, but is at least somewhat of a deterrent knowing you cannot completely remove it once it is written and sent or received.

I've just noticed that our mail history is gone as well. We've got nothing past December of 2017. And there's some conversations back there that I wish I had for reference. What's up, SLS?

Our email history has disappeared too! NOT GOOD! We get a lot of mail and it is very difficult to keep up with and having no record of previous messages is a real problem for us.

This is in reply to Mail History vanishing as New4us20062 points out. We take pride in handling our communication through this site responsibly, which includes calling people by name who we’ve previously chatted with but have yet to meet, details of previous discussions, etc. But with Mail History being wiped, it makes that extremely difficult. This, in my opinion should not happen. Hopefully it’s a temporary glitch and our Mail History with folks we’ve previously communicated with will return. If not, hopefully it won’t happen again. SLS, please address this situation! Thank you.

I've noticed the other day that our Mail History (little yellow envelope in upper right corner of profiles) with certain couples have totally vanished. We know we have communicated via email with these couples but the envelope appears Gray indicating there has never been any correspondences. Another glitch in the system?

Interesting. I've often wondered why the site was developed in a way that didn't allow email to be discarded completely.

I agree with other members, there should be a way to delete all emails from someone without having to delete them as a friend

It would also be nice to be able to delete multiple e-mails all at once and not just one at a time and being bounced back to page one....same for friends list

I agree , also I find "archive " is completely insane you can't find anty thing in there unless you know when it was sent ,who sent it ect if I know all that I don't need to look it up !!! I find stuff from yrs ago in there ? how about a save file like every one else ? a delete which works ? and read icon ? no need for all this other bull !!

Unless I'm missing something there seems to be no way to permanently delete mail (ads are an exception). If I delete mail someone sends me it goes into deleted but then cant be deleted from there? This should be fixed (please) :-)
