Hacked Account sending spam?

We already addressed that profile.

Yes, recently someone has been gaining access to profiles on here and using them to spam the site. Once we detect theses, we take down the profile, remove the messages and then work with the legitimate profile owner to get them their account back. The evidence indicates that the compromised profiles were using simple passwords to guess (such as their first name for their password) or using the same password on multiple sites.

To protect you profile:

1) Don't use a simple password that can be associated with your or easily guessed.

2) Try not to use the same passwords on multiple sites.

3) Don't use any links or contact addresses that a stranger sends you.

Send it to support. I recently did that. Couple of weeks ago and posted it in the message section as well as a warning to others. Admin took my post down. Posted again thinking the first didn’t go through. They took that down. Stupid. No idea why other than maybe embarrassment. Who knows. Anyway, admin claimed they handled it. Apparently, since then , I’ve read now twice of others. So it appears they have a vulnerability.

Report the account so they can review it. It seems to be an issue here lately.

How should we report what appears to be a legitimate account and profile, when you receive a message that is from that account.... but complete spam. It is like their account was hacked? Maybe this happens to others, but this was the first time for me to receive a spam message on SLS.
