@sls_WayneC - by "bumped off" I mean I was redirected to the page with three options (I don't remember the verbiage exactly) one of the options it try again, another is to start new session. Try again did not work, starting a new session (logging back on) worked. As you said, this could have been caused by some site maintenance being performed earlier today. Is the site working better than it was earlier this year? Absolutely, but that's one metric I would not lean on too heavily. M

Maximillion - Many times when I click on something and it shows what appears to be a session error of some kind, I just hit the back button on the browser and try again, and it works.

As Wayne said, things aren't perfect, but not all that long ago this was happening where I wasn't even able to login, or even reach the Login page at times.

When was that this morning? They did have to do some database maintenance around 4am this morning. Also, what exactly do you mean by "bumped off"?

The fact is that the site has been working better. Much better. It still is not working perfectly, but they have invested a lot of time and money into this over the last year. Thank you to the people that noticed that.

@mayhem8, I think you may have been a bit premature with your SLS victory lap. While navigating the site this morning I was bumped off 3 times, having to start the sessions over again. With the weekend rapidly approaching and more profiles checking hot dates and sending messages it's inevitable the site will crash now and then unless more bandwidth / capacity is brought online for the peak periods. I assumed that Mayhem was not saying that facetiously so I did upload some pics as a test. Remember when it would take days to upload pics. The ones I just added loaded right away and most were approved within minutes.

@Wife - Actually, I'm serious. There was a time not all that long ago where EVERY Fri I'd get booted for session errors multiple times and, at least some of those times, the site was completely down (couldn't even get to the Login page).

It's far from perfect, but it is way more usable/stable lately, at least for me.

I agree with Mayhem. It’s been much smoother than it was in the spring. Heck, I might even put some of our pictures back in our profile.

You have to be saying that fictitiously. I haven't had smooth website performance on SLS in years.

They got my money. I don't owe the company praise.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but the website has been more stable lately. Not all that long ago it seemed like I was losing my session and unable to get back in, particularly on the weekends. Many people are quick to criticise and slow to offer praise. I try not to be one of them, but don't always succeed ;-)
