And On the other hand everybody complains about free members. I am Lifetime/ unlimited member and should have the right to write them if I choose..

The Newest Matches and Random Matches only take into account distance away from you, interest in free/paid, and relationship type.It shows you profiles based on what you are interested in, not what they are interested in.

To add additional insult to usability... I just learned today that on the home landing page they have Newest matches and Random matching and sls routinely makes profile suggestions to single guys where the profile isn't seeking single guys. This is utterly ridiculous!

This app cares NOTHING about quality experiences for its users.

SLS doesn't prioritize the user experience.

If they did then they would provide a profile setting which would allow us to hide from ALL views free members.
They would hide them from ALL views when a profile is marked as not interested.

As a paid member it is a ridiculous waste of time to have any of my profiles views cluttered with free profiles.
Yes they allow searches to be filtered. But if there was real value added experience it would be to allow that setting within the profile so Every view is automatically filtered.

I also think the site should automatically message or provide a list of users that have opened their private pics. Too often people are scared to write, but they will open their pics. It would be great to get a message or have a list showing this.

If they valued the user experience then they wouldn't be so subjective and hardline about wording within profiles.
I think they should also show an upload date on the profile pics so viewers at least have a possible age of the pic. This wouldn't stop people from loading 10 year old pics, but it will help when a pic is shared and we can see that it was uploaded a year ago.

Free members see the red message indicator with a number but when they click on Messages they find out that IM is not available to Free Members and are invited to "click here" to make a payment.

So they know they have messages but have no idea who sent them. As far as I know once they've paid they can see all the messages.

This may have been explained before and I missed the response.
As a paid member, when I send a message to a free member, do they get ANY indication that they received a message, even though they cannot read it. And /or does the notification say who sent the message.

Or do the free members get ZERO indication of anything.

SLS is likely padding their "new this week" numbers by including the free members that are useless to the TRUE members ... ie the paid members. IMHO.

This company really doesn't understand marketing.

On the Search page, there is an option to check-off to only show you paid profiles. In other areas of the site, when viewing a list of profiles, the free profiles will have a thin white frame around their default picture. Paid members will have a gold frame around their default picture. You can skip opening the profiles with the white frame.

We need an option to unsee free members, I know we can block them from seeing us but I would like it so I don't see them..its a waste of my time viewing a profile that cannot respond to me if I write them an email. I don't want to see free members
