They’ve abandoned the email for the IM. Email is completely omitted from the app, so unless you log into the actual website you’ll never know you had a mail message. Clubs & Groups are pretty much dead for sending out invites or group notifications. There isn’t even an option in the app to invite. There is a lot lost in translation from site to app including these forums.
So they just turned off notifications so we don't know if someone reached out to us if we don't log on to site, ugh.

Interesting part is that it worked at one time, than just stopped. We were told it was being worked on and would be fixed. Than it just never was.
For what reason would the site not want to forward notification of a message to a customer who has paid $$ to be in the site??

Nope, none. Plus email is being phased out in favor of instant messaging. You won't be receiving notifications that you have those either.
So no notifications to our linked email address that we have a message ?
We are no longer getting notifications for emails sent to our email and haven't for some time , the email works and all the proper boxes are checked to receive them but nothng ....anyone else ?
