On a semi related issue, I am receiving messages from people I have blocked. They cannot see our profile, yet they are able to send us a message anyway. This is new since the point of blocking people ( mainly stalkers) is to not see or hear from them.
Found the issue, at least for us. When we scrolled down through all the messages, we found 4 from a couple of years ago from fake profiles we had blocked. We had to hit the "load more contacts" button at the bottom of the messages screen to get to them. For some reason, in the last few days, these messages have been restored. "reading" them cleared the message indicator.
Same for us. 4 messages red dot indicator shows in the header, but no messages.
Same thing here. How are you supposed to meet with people if we can't get their messages, or vice versa? To me it's a waist of time and money if the site doesn't do what is promised.
I had an indication of 1 new message today - but no new recent message. I tried logging out then logging back in to see if it was an error that might clear but nope - still there.
Since I was bored I started scrolling down and eventually found an automated private image request dated 04/26/2020. To the best of my knowledge I've never seen a message from that profile previously but who knows if the automated message has been hiding in limbo for months or was recently sent with an incorrect date.
Same thing happened to us. There are messages but this crappy messaging system is not loading them.
Us as well for the last 2 days. Had 2 messages yesterday that we couldn’t see, then the notice disappeared. Just now. Another message alert with no message we can see.
Same. Must be a glitch.
