We've now started to see people immediately asking for our phone number so we can text. Most of them cite the lack of notifications on SLS as the reason.

i hate that... "message me on kik!". like, what? we are literally messaging right here right now, whats the problem?

We use WhatsApp or Google Voice.

No not really. Most are non paying guys from AFF that take a chance we might use our profile name on KIK. I dump them quickly as soon as I find out they don't pay to play.The ads can be annoying but I quickly delete them.

If we are going to meet someone, we usually just exchange cell #'s. Can't get much more direct/real time than that. There are apps that will let you route through them to forward to your phone. We haven't felt like we needed them yet, but they are an option for someone that doesn't want to give out their cell number.

The bots have made Kik all but unuseable for us.
The worst are the ads that pop up all the time. They take over your screen. They have timers which make you have to wait 20 or 30 seconds before you can delete them and go back to whatever you were doing.

Well I would disagree that this site had all the communication tools you need. This site sucks for having a normal chat with someone and the ability to share extra pics that are not in your profile is also a PIA. We use KIK with no issues at all.

This site has all the communication tools you need. If you need to go somewhere else to talk (like KIK) then we are immediately suspicious.
Also, many friends have said that they have been stood up from people using kik.

I used to really like using Kik for messaging and chat without sharing personal cell number, but it has become absolute garbage when they changed ownership a couple years back.

I have switched to either Google Voice or Telegram for private communications and they are much better options now.

Bots are everywhere. We received a message yesterday on here, “come fuck me here with a tumblr link.” She has 100% of the pussy. If she wants to chat on kik, Google talk or whatever other app and you’re interested in getting some of the pussy, it’s ladies choice. Might seem unfair but that’s life. Supply & demand sets the market.

Oh ok, I have noticed the chat portion sometimes freezes up & it's very very slow & have to log out & in sometimes just to respond or look at the site. I'm just cautious of bots & scammers online, so much going on now days. I really appreciate you guys input, I took a break away for a while & started getting back involved after some good experiences at a private club a few weeks ago.

Blazzze - the number one reason people take convos offsite is the sheer unreliability of the messaging system here. If you read through the forums you’ll see it almost always has some sort of issue. (Messages vanishing, complete loss of history, not loading, not notifications to name a few). It has been better as of late, but we don’t trust it. We have to copy to clipboard any lengthy message because there’s always a chance it will not send.

But again, good points & conversation for sure.

I respect the opinion, but disagree, it seems I did all the work, including initial contact & friend request etc...we're already chatting on the site, just like here now, so why go to another app or website for possible fraud or scam, if a person wants to chat it could be done here, just like no. I respect folks preference for apps & other places, but it also seems lazy to not just chat where your actually communicating at? Again, just my opinion!

Kik has gotten really bad to the point of getting unusable. The now 30 sec ads you have to sit through before even being able to open it are horrendous. The bots are annoying but don’t tie up its usage at least.

Not weird at all. Some people use kik as their primary form of communication. My guess would be the way that woman, and most women/couples, see it is “if you can’t do something as easy as downloading an app to get the pootie, you’re not deserving of the pootie.” It’s really not a huge request and it shows whether the other side is willing to put forth any effort.

All good points here, I literally just had a weird experience dealing with someone just sending me their kik app? It went like this, we had viewed each other's profile, she was sf, I sent friend request, she accepted, I thanked her on becoming a friend & maybe let's chat sometime. A few days later, she responded by sending me her kik app address, I'm not on kik, so I advised her I wasn't on the app, but we could possibly email, she responded in caps, NOT INTERESTED!, so I responded back in caps, SAME HERE!, I left it there. A very weird occurrence.

I also use whatsapp with a Google phone number.

Kik is perfectly normal to use. Considering that the SLS app is garbage, it's a better option. For folks who prefer to use an app, and for the "younger" side of this audience especially, apps are preferred..... especially if you're using your employer WiFi, lol! So, if you're hoping to play with a younger audience, I'd say embrace Kik.

You think burner phones are extreme?
Chat apps can be traced.

I’ve actually started using Telegram and have been quite pleased. You need to use your cell number to register, but once in, you can block it from anyone seeing it. You register with whatever profile name you like and that’s how you can be found. Just an option. I like options.

If I felt I had to take the same precautions with communication in the LS that a drug dealer does, it would probably be time for me to get out of the LS ;-)
