FunPlusGames - "I am required by the Mrs. to have facial hair."

At one point early on in our relationship, the Mrs jokingly said she would divorce me if I shaved my beard. Many years later, there was one time where I actually did, and after 30 mins, she didn't even notice.

Being otherwise follically challenged, I do have a short goatee style beard and mustache. Some people can rock the clean shaven bald look. I do not count myself among them ;-) I do trim the beard/mustache weekly or as needed, as I prefer it that way myself.

I am required by the Mrs. to have facial hair. Hehe. It started as just a goatee but graduated to full beard after the pandemic.
But all my pics have facial hair so I would assume that if it were a turn-off, that would be the end of conversation.

While I've grown a beard a few times over the years, they never lasted longer than a few months before I shaved them off. However, I started one back in October and for whatever reason, the little bit of gray in it really turned the wife on and I've kept it since. That said, I keep mine very well kept. I see the barber every 2-3 weeks and have it trimmed to about 5/8" in length all around which means it never gets longer than about an inch. Additionally, I am pretty religious about using either a high quality beard oil or softening cream as well as using the clippers to touch up around the mouth every few days. It's how the wife prefers it and honestly, how I do as well. As for on other men, we both have the same preference. A well kept and neatly trimmed beard indicates a little bit of pride in self-care. It doesn't have to be short but neither of us find a sasquatch beard attractive in the least. FWIW, between barber charges and the products, it costs about $70/month to keep it looking neat. I could probably do most of it myself but my barber does spend a bit of time with the scissors trimming and blending around the jaw line. To me, it looks 10x better and is well worth the cost.

I know the Mrs is OK if it is a well trimmed beard/mustache, or if it's otherwise attached to someone that looks like Jason Momoa ;-)

We have a LS friend that is a really nice guy, so I was kind of shocked one time to hear other women talk about what a huge turn off it was when his mustache was not neatly trimmed. Facial hair is definitely a thing (both good and bad) for many women apparently. That can be observed in some profiles that spell out that they only want guys with no facial hair.

Speaking for myself, I prefer that the women I play with don't have facial hair ;-)

I have for years shaved my face but recently have decided to grow out my beard at least for a while. I want see how I look with a beard. I see many men will shave, while many will grow a goatee or beard or mustache. Ladies and men,,, what is your opinion. ?????
