It doesn’t bother me if someone wants to take a conversation off of SLS pretty quickly, because both the messaging and the group chat on here are stuck in 2005. They barely work, and even when they work as designed, it’s just clunky. I just keep anonymous accounts on all those services in case someone wants to move off-site to chat.
Had an experience I will never forget I got pretending to be a couple found them out by using his phone number and traced it single white guy trying to collect pictures

I think AFF is worse than fakes, I think AFF owns a lot of the fakes.

I used to visit AFF site also, was a member but haven't been on there in years, the early years seemed ok & you could navigate & chat on the site, but it became restrictive & fake like so many of the other sites. It seems years ago the websites were simpler & the people were more real & genuine & actually chatted & met up. It's so many pretenders, scammers & fakes now on all the sites now days, regardless if couples or singles all anyone can do is be cautious & navigate as best they can on sites, anything is possible, but in person at parties or private clubs still seems the best way.

In all of the time that I have been using SLS, I can only remember 2 occasions where a couple or single female has asked for a duck picture.
However, there have been many times when single males listed as bi or straight have requested them “for the girlfriend, who doesn’t have a profile.”
AFF is pretty awful. We still have a profile there but quit paying long ago.

Dick pics make sense if you are trying to attract other guys. I believe that Bi guys are the primary people that look at/for those. If you look at the comments people make on dick pics on AFF, it's almost always another guy that's making the "nice dick" comments.

I've enjoyed this lifestyle since the mid/late 80's (pre internet?). I started with ads in swinger contact publications, like magazines and papers, etc...There were bullshitters, pic collectors and the like back then too....It's all in the profile/ad....I learned long ago that there are "trigger" words, etc. that can give the BS'ers away and pictures too.....Just avoid them.....As a single guy it's a little different for me, though I have been fooled a few times....

You need to evaluate each situation as it comes up. If it feels like BS, then treat it as such. You don’t own anyone here a thing. The downside to being too stingy is you will without a doubt turn some legitimate couples away, but nothing is perfect.
We don’t know how to spot a fake without fail, but there are things that look or sound odd. If something feels weird, we question it, if the explanation smells, we move on. We screen a lot more people just because their preferences, persona etc don’t match with us.
Ditto with the pics. We have G and some soft R-rated ones if people seem real, but nothing beyond that until after we meet in person.
Block them and move on plenty of those here and many married guys who have single profile.. We DO NOT waste our time with these people!
They are CL holdovers, cheaters who need to be on Ashley Madison.. and even couples wife has no idea husband is on and ask US to talk her into swinging.. Thats why we chat , ALL... ALL.. It's a constant issue for us. We've taken a few steps to counter the fakes
1- We don't communicate with uncertified couples or couples who's certs are more than a year or so old.
2 - We don't open nudes until we've met face to face.

A lot of BS spews on SLS. I am a confident bi-male and I had a meet with a guy who advertised on his profile "bull cock". He shows up and it quite small. My comment to him was "it is obvious this is no bull cock"..said he was nervous. Another guy claimed eight inches and that it used to be ten inches. He lost two inches because he "broke his dick". Can you break your cock...and lose two inches? I have had some chats with guys that keep going on and on but how excited they are, they want to do this and that but when you try to set a date they shrink away. Same here, we go to get a toy or lube, but that’s really it. Even then our best toys are all ordered online. The ones around here all seem to have really sketchy people behind the counter and a lot of questionable desperate looking people. We usually get in and as quickly as we can.
ABS's aren't something we've really looked into. I mean we checked out a local one for toys, but that was about it. There is one nearby that supposedly has a glory hole, but never been.
When we first started, the Craiglist personals were alive and well. We were lucky and found a couple that did a posting for a local Meet & Greet that had a specific Newbies Night. It wound up being a lounge above a strip club, and only couples were allowed in that lounge. They could of course always go down to the strip club as well. That lounge is where we got our start. It still exists today, but if you like to drink, it gets expensive really quick because they charge strip club drink prices.
We have no idea how much of Craiglist was BS, and it of course got shutdown because it was openly engaging in prostitution in some cases. It's too bad that they didn't police/clean it up, but it provided no real income for Craigslist so there was no incentive to keep it when push came to shove. I suspect the word "skeevy" could have been created for Craigslist personals. From what I remember of them, they likely had a very high BS to real ratio.
Non-skeevy....? Haven't run across one just yet. Abs's have always been known as places to meet for a quickie and have gained some traction with a good number of short stories on line that imagine they are swinger hot spots. Most people who migrate toward the LS these days find some type of expression of it in media and tend to look for that first. There are some couples that meet at them and no small shortage of single guys that use them a lot. Met a few single guys that even started trying to "pick up" couples at abs's. They leaned that way because of some short stories and videos. They were shocked and relieved when they discovered that the LS was much broader than what they had experienced at the stores. For us one of the main issues has been a steady stream of do-gooders who like to monitor the traffic at abs's and certain clubs.
A non-skeevy ABS, that would be a novelty. When we meet we like a comfortable place we can chat over a cocktail or some food.
