Why do people make shitty profiles?

Toilets anywhere in the photo. Even in the background. Take 3 seconds to shut the bathroom door, for Dog's sake.

Oh my gosh, what a great question. Often I see people taking pictures of themselves with dirty laundry, unmade beds mattresses on the floor stuff like. Or my personal pet peeve holding up a fish or a dead deer they shot. ??

afterhours2012 - I hear you and mentioned the same elsewhere. I can live with the blocked faces, except when the picture is ONLY the faces. There just isn't any point in posting a picture like that. At least give some idea of your body shape/size if you're going to blot out the face.

Some people are nervous. Some are paranoid. Many aren't SERIOUS either - just lookie-lou's . They sign up just to see if any family members, friends, neighbors or coworkers might be on here.

My thing that gets under my skin : people who post a photo with a big smiley-face covering their entire heads. I mean, blur the face .... trim the photo. But not balloons, smiley faces, cartoon faces or cutesy animal noses and ears. Please ..........

MNJFLA - I think that there is always someone for everyone. People that are unkept may appeal to other unkept people.

We, like many, have self-imposed "classes", if you will. While we are HWP, I'd still not "expect" to be playing with 30 to 40-something super-model looking hard-body types. We've been pleasanty surprised at times, but we mostly stay in our own lane. The problem is when the type of people you mentioned don't understand this concept.

Better question is why do they get approved.

Manmar1 I like your comments about "lazy people." We really get turned off by men that meet us in old jeans, work shirts and a worn baseball cap. The lady will wear jeans and a loose fitting oversize shirt, hair unkempt, nails unpolished, and scruffy. Do they actually think that anyone would want to play with them. We have been to more than enough meet and greets where people would get shit faced drunk, talk in your face with an alcohol bad breath. They weigh twice what we do and dress like slobs and think we might be interested. NOT to mention it cost us $$ to attend these meetings. I do not mind reading comments about people that make very little effort to impress others they might want to have sex with. Maybe they will see these comments and make some changes, OR get out or the quote "lifestyle." Thanks for sharing your comments.

Marnmar1 - We keep getting ads for SDC but we're already on here, AAF, SwingTowns, and Fetlife. The list is ordered by most contacts to least, but even Fetlife has gotten us to meet up with people occasionally.

If we ever get to a point where the parties in our area dry up we may look at SDC, but for now, we usually have more play options than we have time for.

Profiles.. should change as one's experiences grow good or bad... our has and along with our photos !

For "us" we think the entire world has changed last 3 to 4 years over covid crazies , afraid to be out and about and now some just are so lazy they dont put anytime into anything, life, work, going out.. we just had this same conversation at the gym with several others!

I’ll admit our profile was terrible. We had no idea what we were doing. We just wanted on the site to see what we could see. But we changed it over the years. Added more. Took away a lot!! Like our rules. We had so many rules in the beginning but with experience that all changed. I’ll also say we are bad at updating our profile. We went like 4 years without changing our ages lol. But I guess I’m just saying that profiles should be honest and open about what you are looking for. And they should be read. That way we aren’t on here wasting each others time. Like most I’m sure, we have very little free time. It sucks to have what time we do have wasted. Fact is , SDC is a way better site. I just couldn’t justify paying for it when we paid to be lifetime here. I think I’ll revisit that decision

I do check out and approve new profiles from time to time. I have to admit most are really bad but past the profile rules.

People who have shitty profiles are doing you a favor by weeding themselves out of your possible matches.

Once you see how bad the profile is there's no need to go any further. It's a win-win.

marnmar1 - I can only speculate, but think some may see this site for way more than it is. It's like some think ANY sort of profile is going to open the flood gates of people wanting to fuck them. It can be unbelievably hard to find couples that actually want to meet and play AND have a schedule that allows that to happen in less than a month.

As you've gathered, there are likely a number of fakes and wannabes. As you also already found out. parties can be a great way to go but sounds like one of the better ones in your area shut down. Bummer. If we were in your age range and lived close, we'd definitely be like "hey, what you fuckers getting into?" ;-)

I don't think it is as bad as you say, but it could be a location thing also. There a frustrating aspect with those types of profiles, but there are plenty of good ones too.

I can't figure out why people make such shitty profiles. It's to the point we barely log on here anymore. Profile with one terrible pic of a lady in revealing clothes (or no clothes) trying to pose sexy. Blurry photos. No meaningful description of who they are or what they are interested in. "Fun loving couple, drama free looking to make friends". What the hell does that even mean? Everyone has drama and we all hopefully have friends. Who are you looking to fuck is the question and does your wife know, if you even have a wife. We read a lot into profiles. If you are lazy in your profile we think you are lazy in general. And no one appreciates a lazy fuck. Are we wrong for feeling this way? Its to the point that if we weren't lifetime members already we would be off SLS
