FACE PICTURES, PLEASE??

There's no shame... but i like my job and future job opportunities. A lot of us don't have the luxury of not giving a fuck in our professional lives.

The most important reason I see, and the main reason we do censored faces, is because we have personal experience with issues. Single males looking for people to get wild with have NOTHING to lose, generally speaking. They can out you to friends and family in a heartbeat. Thankfully our very close family friends happened to be married and in the lifestyle so it ended up being okay, but if that had gotten back to family? Major, family-losing problems would have arisen. We are super selective on who we tell about our lifestyle when it comes to people outside the lifestyle. Honestly, demanding a face pic to begin with, on ANY of these adult lifestyle sites is kind of a dick move. This is the Internet, once a picture is on the internet, it is ALWAYS on the Internet. And if your face is in it? People know who you are. Chemistry and trust first, face pics second.

Hmmmmm,

as a private couple still in the closet we (Hubby) either does Body pics or blurrs out our faces, BUT we DO have face pics in our Private folder that if communication goes good we will open up. We live in a smaller community where it seems you run into someone you know on a regular basis so being Discreet and Private is imperative.
we are also adding more pics to our profile as we go and learn more of what's wanted / expected

No golden cock or pussy is worth it.

Whaat if it was a cock or pussy that squirted Prosecco?

I don’t know... I’d be tempted.

So nobody thought to ask the person what the hell they were doing on a swap site? Might at least make a person like that think twice about making a statement like that to a bunch of vanillas. I would have called "BS" if they said they were just looking to see who else was on there. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

Of course you always think of the best stuff to say AFTER the event has happened, but at this point you know this person is on swap sites, so it sounds to me like a case of a REALLY small mind. Of course some of the other small minds may have also missed that ;-)

One example: Not to long ago on lunch break at work while talking with the guys. One person brought up the question about a baby that was born. One guy says to him well you know where that baby came from don't you, that's a swap baby, that's what that is! Then he went on to say how you could tell who the wife swappers are because you can go on line and look them up on swap sites. I just listened to what was being discussed. Around here if you want to become a 'freak show' just let people find out that your in the lifestyle. Life would change as you know it now.

If someone is "out" as a swinger and doesn't care if people know and have a vindictive personality, I'm fucked. Not risking it unless I plan on meeting up. this has already been a personal experience
Damage control was awkward as fuck.

If someone from this area has issues with it, I have no problems taking a pass. Even with golden certs and an amazing profile. Nope. Not risking my job or family relationships. No golden cock or pussy is worth it.

If other people feel the same, take a pass if you don't agree with it and don't bother messaging them.

In most cases, someone discovering you on here will be another swinger and very unlikely to out you. I agree that people can make a good argument that the risks are minimal. If we relied mostly on online interactions to find playmates I'd definitely consider it, but we don't.

The purpose for being here at all is to find nice and fun people to play with. If you can accomplish that just fine without public face pics and have no problem sharing them if someone reaches out with interest, why incur the risk? So again, for us the risks (albeit minimal) aren't worth the possible gain.

How long before employers do facial recognition searches during the hiring process?

The problem with this comes down to cost. As a company, do you really want to spend money renting the server time to scan every applicant? What does this actually give you?

I have a morality clause in my teaching contract, so 90% of my pictures are G-rated and could have theoretically been stolen from Facebook.

I don’t put my face out there, but nobody needs to know my business but me.

They already look at the history of what you've posted online, as well as what your friends and family have posted.

"Free accounts can’t see us."

You sure about that? You might want to create a free account and sign in to the app, because, yeah, they can. Also, do a search for swingers (your posted town).

It's much more comforting to think that only "real" swingers can see your photos, but it's also incorrect.

Lacobrts, as previously mentioned, your default picture comes up on google searches. Anyone can see that you are on SLS.

Free accounts can’t see us. If you’re paying to be here you’re as big a swinger as we are.

Me. I care. Not in my personal life, where pretty much everyone including my kids know I see and have sex with multiple people of both genders. But in my work life? Hell yeah. It would get in the way of the work I do and while I've crossed paths with and made playmates of people in the same or similar fields, which means we would see each other out in the world, I'm not putting my face on a site searchable by anyone who thinks to create a free account and search for swingers in my small town.

If I’m on SLS and my boss/friend/neighbor/etc finds me on SLS who is the bigger swinger? Can’t you out the other if they out you first? Aren’t we both here? We’ve been found by coworkers on SLS . We’ve met coworkers inadvertently at a club. WTF cares?

I agree first hand. I need to keep our private life private. I tend to hand out a cart to vanilla people and shit hits the fan like I have leprosy or something. Cant people accept us for who we are? NO judge and not be judged ???? OK Lesson learned the hard way. From now it is only business.... No cards in my wallet, one hand them out at swag parties even there people can ge the info from me if they ask. Shit I am not going to get in trouble anymore.

I lost a pretty good sized group of friends when I was inadvertently outed. Fuck yeah I'm keeping my identity on the downlow. Small town. Small minds, everyone talks. It doesn't help that everyone knows who my daughter is with out asking twice. My friends know how to be discreet in saying hi to her or "tell your mom I said hello" but it's equally as easy to piss someone off in messenger and find me. A swinger friend said hello to my daughter at the bank yesterday... she's unmistakably my kid.

We do appreciate face photos and we offer the same. We do however understand people who do not wish to post public, but they should be ready to post a full face photo not necessarily nude. Sometime we need to take some chances. Also E mail is a very private way to send a photo or text works well also. If your boss is that much of a detective or looking on here, he is just as pervey as we are.

OP: It's simple risk vs gain as far as face pics are concerned.

If someone is that into this "hobby" then they are already attending LS events, and online connections are just icing on the cake.

They're are some people who randomly would do a search for the wife swappers in there town. And if they found out they would gossip. Small minds, small towns.

Small towns talk. Some government jobs will fire you over it. Some jobs make people sign a code of ethics. What may be normal with you or your area may not be normal with someone else.

Other folks have also been burned by disgruntled and vindictive ex- partners.

Pictures and web addresses have been shared with family, employers, and family court judges.

Everyone has their own comfort levels. We don’t complain if someones’ is different than ours.
