risks with phone chat?

There are any number of 3rd party phone apps you could download. In the android world, Google Voice is my choice. It allows you to choose any available mobile number. You can change it at any time. I use it and am not shy about sharing it with men and couples. I tell potential partners they can text anytime and even hide their actual mobile number. I advise all swingers to get use 3rd party apps for phone chat or SMS texting.

“ Normally it's a flag for me if someone wants to immediately take communications offsite because usually it's obvious they're a scammer”

I don’t feel that way at all. I prefer to go off site soon after initiating a conversation. In my experience the sooner someone wants to go off site the more likely it is that we’ll actually meet.

I use regular text, Telegram, and I find that even Kik, as sucky as it is, is usable since I get notification of incoming messages, and we can exchange pics and video chat.

If I’m ever suspicious of a profile, Google voice is always a good option.

Early on and on this site I was scammed, or more accurately attempted. Since I never share ph number unless we have met and verified both legitimacy AND desire to proceed. Too many fakes and flakes including on SLS.

Its that easy.. see if they have a nice profile , recent photos and can speak and communicate on what you are looking for.. next we set up a meet at a local bar/restaurant ... if all have what's stated and seem compatible we go back to ones house or hotel.. in 20 plus years only had a handful scammers after CL closed down and we blocked them that simple for us.. We talk to everyone first. The scammers always have an excuse not to..

Not going through separate numbers, this chat that chat.. we are here to play with real swingers.. and we can Id them pretty quickly after 20 plus years!

People do NOT want to play games with us.. paybacks are a bitch and we dont play games!

I feel like this is a stupid question, but it's not like I've never looked stupid before. Are there risks of texting strangers, and has anyone gotten scammed? I contacted a couple who said the wife was looking to date, and the husband pretty quickly said he wife wanted to phone text. Normally it's a flag for me if someone wants to immediately take communications offsite because usually it's obvious they're a scammer.

This one's not obvious, though, and I'd hate to miss a real opportunity. Also, I'm not sure I see a true risk to texting them. If it is a fake I can block the number. Worst case they have my number and can spoof me.
