I have had pretty good luck on SLS as a single. Have I been blocked or treated with distain for being single? YES! But, I don't take it personally. I just keep it moving until I find couples/ladies who hear and like what I have to say.

Worst part about beong single and playing with a couple. You go home alone after play time. Mostly why I only reached out to single men. So thankful I found an awesome single guy here! Odds are so slim but it happens! Oddly, I was the one who teached out to him.

Yes I'm over exaggerating of course... There are plenty of couples.... a few couples who have treated me like I was on equal ground.. that's mostly in person where they tend to treat you like a person. Online, and I think this is because more men message for the couple, it's way more cut and dry, do you fit the criteria, check these boxes, type of selecting. Women and couples who I meet in person tend to just talk and things go naturally from there. They don't show up with a notepad of requirements.

I suggest all single guys find events that let you in and learn the art of conversation.

Exactly hotluvrs. I think having so many idiots out there set a pretty low bar so that even an average guy like me was able to be successful. One need just elevate themselves above the masses so rather than lament the state of things, embrace the opportunity to stand out.

As for 2outdoorlovers comment that singles aren’t swingers, I wholeheartedly disagree. While a lot of guys join this site just to get laid and will leave once in a relationship (not a swinger), I was always into fantasy fulfillment and group sex and other aspects of the LS as are many singles who are more likely to meet or bring a mate into the LS than leave it. I won’t pretend to know the percentage of each and it may well be that the latter is a minority but having a partner doesn’t make or break whether one is a swinger, it’s a mind set not a mate that makes the difference.

I don't agree with this. I think that single guys with the right stuff will continue to be successful. Couples that are seeking out single guys will continue to do so.

Back in the day, when I was a much younger man on AFF, I did fairly well. The fact that many of the other single guys acted like asshats didn't bother me. I realized that there bad behavior helped to highlight any good behavior I exhibited.

I assume that single guys that are funny, reasonable, polite, and respectful (ala BT) still get there share of attention.

Because they have painted THEMSELVES into a corner that quite frankly I see no way out of. The ratio of sm's vs cpl's is way out of whack. To add to this, there is a HUGE percentage of them that are simply just assholes. By huge. I'm talking 95%+ in my opinion. Like many many many here have said. Simply signing up doesn't mean you're gonna get laid. You have married cheaters. Pic hunters. Flakes. Fakes. Liars. etc. Unfortunately for the VERY FEW decent guys. To add to this. I am of the opinion that singles are NOT swingers. Single guys or girls are simply unattached singles that want laid. Same as any high school kid. So you want nsa sex. Half the people in any given nightclub want that. That doesn't make them a swinger. Being on this site doesn't make you a swinger anymore than going to a rodeo makes you a cowboy.

As for the ratio. It's been mentioned here so I did my own search. 18 - 99 straight or bi within 50 miles... Single males - 205 / cpls - 79 / single females - 18
